Leti and a Bath

Leti had a bath. She needs to be conditioned so I think every 2 weeks will do. She feels clean now. She smells different. When Yvonne came to visit she said she smells different than our dogs. What are you feeding her? I said the same thing so I started paying attention and she does. I wonder how long that will last.

She had a tremendous amount of fun today. We had to get up extra early but I didn't feed them till 7am - their usual time. Leti still tries to steal everyone's dental chews. I guess she really loves them. She loves popcorn too.

So Many Visits

Leti thinks everyone came to see her and she just thinks this is fun, fun, fun. The younger set is having fun so much its unreal but so are the older crew. Leti diodn't mind going out today as she had so many distractions. We didn't stay out long though. It's rather cold outside!

Rose Bushes

She is pruning them in winter - oh my so that means next year I will have to buy new rose bushes. <sigh> None seem to be scared.

I actually have some faves. Oh well, they are ONLY rose bushes. hahahaha I still love her!

Hmm New Changes

I rather like this Ringo guy. He is mighty fun. It's going to be a fun weekend for the Miss Leti as she will have new ones to play with and she rather likes that.

Come Monday she will get another bath just because it happens to be time. Let's see who else we can wash. They say snow this weekend. Bring it on please. Remember I said that but I want a killer storm that Nathan can drive through but I get to see the Leti in and can snap photos of her and anyone else enjoying the white stuff!

PS: She LOVES the snake and so does Cali and Brewer and Ringo and.... the list goes on. You see all Havs seem to like this toy!

The Games are Fun

Leti greets everyone with so much excitement it is unreal. It is as if you are her long lost friend. I think Cali is slightly jealous so I am acutely aware and make sure I snuggle with both all the time.

Leti hates her eyes cleaned. She really hates it. We are working on that. She's not crazy about her private areas getting groomed either but we are conditioning her daily. I haven't placed her on her back to groom yet but I suspect she will be one that will give me a hard time but we shall persist as show dogs must learn to relax and be brushed on their back.

We will let you know how that adventure goes but I believe in tackling one irritation at a time and today its cleaning the eyes. When she stops complaining about that we will start moving to placing her on her back to be groomed.

Leti: Snow and Relationships

Leti likes the cold alright especially now that she is weighing more. She still doesn't like being out for extended periods of time unless she gets lost in play. Her best pals are Jeannie, Cali and Adele. They are so very close. It's quite endearing to watch. You will see some of her photos in the gallery I am creating for the All About Dogs blog.

January 6th she is back for a vet visit and her shots. Soon we will start taking her out to Petsmart etc so she gets used to the world out there.

Vet Visit for Leti

Leti went to the vets to get her shots. She is now 4.67 oz up from 3lb 10 oz. She is growing well. We will see later if she is sore but for now she is playing up a storm.

Leti's fave toy is an oversized set of teething keys. Actually everyone wants it so I need to replace them as Leti is teething. What toys are you using for teething?

I was thinking about getting this one. Sophie the Giraffe - has anyone tried it out?

I am also trying to get the Teether Tugz but my local Walmart doesn't have it as I think it will actually be good for the wee pups. If you see them at your local Walmart or other store, please let me know.

On the hunt for Lamaze toys too as ours are getting rather old. Just send me a mail and tell me where you saw them. I find the baby toys really excite not only the pups but te older dogs too and tehy seem to last longer than some dog toys. Does anyone else opt for baby toys too?

Beard Cleanup

I had a greenie and oh oh and it stuck to my beard. Mommy had to use a detangler to get it out and not break hair. Oh well, it was a fun idea but I guess not for a show dog.

Leti gets along famously with everyone including Daisy who was grumpy with her at first but Leti won her heart. She's even won Risa's too. She drives poor Risa crazy jumping all over her every morning. Risa eventually corrects her but it is obvious Risa rather likes her. I am sure its due to her spunk. Risa likes the strong gals with attitude.

Siesta

Leti is taking a siesta today. She's been playing up a storm but I have dogs top wash for the show tomorrow. No time to click and update.

She also ate a greenie and oh boy I have some work to clean her beard up but oh she loved it!

Plowed Over

What happens when you get in the way of huge enthusiasm with Brewer and Cali? You get plowed over.

Poor Leti just dusted herself off and kept on going. She is a trooper, I tell you!
