4th Birthday!

Dear Nathan and Darlah,

I hope you are enjoying this wonderful weather today. We are celebrating Tchibo’s 4th birthday today! Big thanks to Talemaker family and Roxie for our wonderful pup. We cannot imagine going through this pandemic and life without Tchibo, he lights up our house. We are so grateful for him.

We took him to his favourite park this morning.  

He hated cupcakes I made for him...:) we will make up for that, but enjoyed his new toys. 

Happy Birthday wishes to Tchibo’s brothers Rheo, Milo, Buddy and Tuesday (we hope he is somewhere in a good place). 

Wishing Rheo and his brothers a wonderful 4 th birthday.. This little cutie continues to bring me great joy. Thanks Nathan and Darlah for this loving, smart little cutie.🥰

For those that do not know, Tuesday escaped from his home never to be found.

Awake

The garden is awake. Some of my strawberries are surfacing - some nit and the dogs think all these smelsl are wonderful. They do sniff the garden with a sense of ah it is summer finally - well not technically but sure feels that way.

I managed to get into the pool for 30 minutes to be exact all by myself. It set me behind but every now and then you must.

I still only have half my grooming done and will start in as soon as I am done here. No one swam but humans. It is too much with pups going home. I have the desire but the comb outs and drying - I just can't yet. Nathan said he combed out Ella yesterday and I had to do a thorough job on her. I also had to do Misty so we will wait till I have less on my plate. Forgive me dawgs - but I must. I like to think I am superhuman but I am not.

Still the dogs ran. They played games with Dennis and Nathan and they are tuckered out. It was a good day.

Tomorrow 2 more pups depart so a tad more busy.

First Swim 2021

Well not planned but even I got my bathingsuit on but I clicked and never made it in as I have all this stuff to do. Nathan, Misty and Ella were the only ones that went in and it was all but for 10 minutes but these 2 gals thought they had died and went to heaven. It is about how I would feel if teh sun had stayed out and I had enough time to enjoy.

I asked Nathan if he had combed out the gals and he said not Misty as she has short hair. I said what? You always have to comb out after a swim no matter the length. So guess what I will be doing after blogs.

Sunshine Day

The sun is shining bright. The dogs are loving it.

Misty is itching to go in the pool. She keeps standing on the stairs. Things are growing but I vowed not to seriously look until pups depart. Rebel was caught laying on my daylillies. I am not impressed but she was, What a cheeky thing.

Lots of grooming today. So short blogging it. Do not worry Murphy's mom you may not see her in photos as Dennis didn't click her but she has been sunning most of the day. I do believe she likes the sun rays. Ripley Likes her greatly maybe cause she is quiet and not in your face.

Well Lots to Do

Sorry not big gallery - only a few I TOOK of Opus and Pablo and neither was posing - just trying my wits with catch me in a photo if you can.

Shlomo, Reggie, Opus, Pablo, Brewer - all party animals with some of mine and Murphy captured the rays but as you can tell I am still plugging away crazy busy so bear with me.

Really Rain?

This is Willow not the Willow who lives here. Believe me, I get asked. LOL She was born here but she went to her forever home at 10 weeks.

Nathan was running errands today. Got some Wendy's fast food - yuck. I have a tummy ache from it. It was his choice.

Dorothy showed up and weeded my front. What an incredible angel she is. I was going to ignore it as I do not have time. I mean I really have no time. After blogs, I must do paperwork and dog bags.

Dennis was sleeping today. Nathan getting the dog food that came in to go home with pups. As it is 8 bags, you have to special order it vs buying off the shelf. It started to rain so I was putting pups in bags, picking up the play stuff for the puppies. It was a joke how fast I was going and then I got them back, the dogs back in, the toys etc back in and the sun came out. Really?

It's supposed to be warm this week. Till tomorrow - lots to do but watch the video of Pablo and Shlomo. I cut Pablo down and he gets his bath and finish tomorrow. Doing what I can where I can.

Rain and Then Rain

This is Sky. I call her Sky Why. I am always saying Why Sky? LOL

We do not once again have many photos. Rain does that and spending time vs. clicking matters but I am hoping no rain tomorrow so I get out there and click. Right now I groomed everyone this morning. If you look at Nami in the videos with the pups you would say YOU LIE. I honestly combed her out. Does Dennis ever take photos after comb-outs. Rarely.

Shlomo has decided that if I am not giving him a treat after and really you can't eat after brushing, he is going to chew on the brush. I looked at him. He looked at me. Then he tried looking at the treat cabinet and saying really? I am combing him out in the morning and treating then at night brushing so it lasts the longest time between eating and brushing. He is not impressed but we keep at it. LOL

We have a very busy week till the 20th and I am not sure when Reggie is departing. It depends on quarantining in a hotel, I suppose. He's had a bath last week but you can't tell. Something about rain. One would swear it was April.

Happy Mother's Day All

Sad News

Just got word from his mom that Teddy passed away. Teddy wasn't born here but he had been coming for grooming and boarding for a long time. They are all special but he had what I call an old wise soul. With covid, we had not seen him for some time but that doesn't mean we didn't think of him often.

I wonder how many I do not get to see that are seniors. It's awful but he remains in our hearts and memories as we had a lot of good ones with him.

We are so thinking of the family. It's not just the dogs that we lose but the people like Carole that really has a warm spot with us - well we hope to remain in touch. They love their dogs and we love them for it! I must admit, I am having a solid cry over this one. It seems so is Dennis and Nathan.

The Blogs

Today, I must try to do blogs early = a no photo day as we have pups going to the vets. As it is late afternoon and by the time we are back, early evening, it is impossible to do so many blogs plus do all that I must before bedtime. So, this is a no gallery day and I will play catch-up tomorrow.

I am so going to miss the pups but its me that does all the work to prepare for them to depart and it is a lot of work. Plus I do all what I normally do. Last night I was doing dishes after 10pm. I woke up to dishes vs having them done when I woke up. I need to go on a strike but then it would just be left waiting. So, we plug along and do what we can when we can.

I so wish I had the pool.

This is last years garden soon to be this year's garden.

Late Blog: Updated

There will be a late blog today as we have 8 pups to wash. I will make sure Dennis takes photos as we will be taking photos of baths. Each bath takes approx 30 min if I am really good. That's 4 hours and tomorrow the vets in the afternoon. We are doing our best!

Above is Bailey and Shlomo playing and playing. So brushed 1st thing - unbrushed later but boy did he have fun. He will be my 1st tomorrow. Bailey also played with the pups and you will see that in the videos. Nathan is off to bed now and I still have a ton to do. <sigh>

I want to thank Pippa for the wonderful pastries and Sylvia for the sushi. I am not sure I would have ate today as I simply had no time. It was an overload day that has not stopped yet. 15 hours and working and counting.

Oh My Gad

I am so far behind. Dennis didn't take photos and well this is what it is. I will try to make up for it tomorrow!

Shlomo likes his teeth cleaning but he wants a treat after. No can do. Need to stay clean. LOL

Too Rainy: No Photos But

It rained and rained today. Dennis is instead running the halls with the adults but as you know, he hates photos of him so you will just have to visualize.

Got to Play

Despite the coolness and maybe due to the coolness, the dogs were playing like crazy. Ellie, Shlomo and Winston got exposure to the Misty and Raven pups.

Rain and Then Muck Then Rain

Rocky has departed. Soon the Raven and Misty pups will have departed. Much to do before that.

I look forward to crawling into bed and the dogs sure was excited I was last night - like over the moon. Sure makes you feel good.

What happened to April showers bring May flowers? It's still raining. Dennis said things are growing in the trug. I don't dare look. LOL

Dogs did do the chase game today with Dennis over and over. They came in and napped. I so love them having fun!

It's May

As we have had so much going on, this blog will be short. Dennis went to bed for 2 hours to do night duty. I am doing the blogs and weighing and laundry and nathan is taking the dogs out but not clicking. He so enjoys them laying all over him/

I am so looking forward to snuggling with the dogs tonight. I am not used to night shift but I did stay up. Not sure how Dennis does it but its quiet. For the last 2 night the dogs looked at me to say not coming up again? They will be thrilled. It's not that they don't treasure their Dennis moments but we all have our rituals and they are a creature of habit.

I imagine Sage and Sprit will miss me at night but have me during the day. I hope to feel alive tomorrow. We have a zoom meeting that demands it.

Hope you both are doing great!  We just wanted to share a picture of Logan’s 1st Birthday celebration!  I can’t believe he is already 1 year old.  He is not only a cutie but also has a great personality.  We love him so much!

Update Later

Hopefully Dennis will take photos or I will when I get up. It's rainy out so dogs will not want to go out. Come 7am, I am crawling into bed and trying to stay in it till 130. We shall see. I will update this blog then.

We got the estimate for the pool heater due to our size pool with installation 5 grand. That's ridiculous but thank you covid heaters are in short supply. I am so depressed as the pool is a mental and physical outlet. Oh well.

Rain is good. Plants are growing. I am not worried about a pool though it can't even circulate unless we replumb it.

I am waiting for 630am so the coffee starts as I will need it for the last half hour. LOL That may be psychological. I can't stop yawning but I did laundry, cleaned, took care of moms, placed out all the water. I am tired and its nice to be quiet and get things done but I will miss sleeping with the dogs and Nathan and when it is dark. LOL I do not dare sit in the recliner or I would be snoring.
