Motion Photos Today
It's so great catching them moving. They flow, they look a mess and they look like life is fun!
Unfortunately starting in the New Year, our costs will go up. Please contact nathan for updated costs.
The picnic date took place on August 17, 2019 from 12pm to 5pm at Yvonne's place in Brighton. Check out the details here. Photos from the 2019 picnic can be found here. Yvonne's place is NEXT DOOR to her old place. I will try to put a havanese flag out front. Hope you can join us. Directions are here. The house # is 25. There is no picnic in 2020 due to COVID but hopefully in 2021. Stay Tuned!

It's so great catching them moving. They flow, they look a mess and they look like life is fun!
It's been raining off and on but I tell you that wind does something for the soul. It gets the dawgs running and playing like never before - well since last Fall.
This year snow will be new to Panda, Rox - all the siblings, all the Wasabi pups of late and to the Treasure crew, Sounds like lots of weather related fun is to be had at least after all that shovelling and frozen toes and...
Ah... fun!
Did you feel this cold settling in? Did you have to go crazy getting your plants in? We did and we gavea literal jungle in the kitchen but it will wait till tomorrow before we distribute. For now the plants are warm, the dawgs are warm and so is the human.
Is it really deep Fall already?
It does seem to get the dawgs running and playing and jumping and getting into all types of trouble.
Me, I just want to climb into bed with all the dawgs and play with my ipad, snuggle and have the window open and climb under the blankets.
I will let you know how that goes.
The dawgs don't play all day long. They have this feverish run and play and then they drop and rest and then they start again.
Do you think if we did that we would have more energy?
More than most dawgs, Spice watches the ants go back and forth. You can see the eyes moving as if she has the intense desire to understand what these little black things are doing.
I am not sure why she finds it fascinating but she does it quite a bit - watching but never touching and they seem to leave her alone.
Is she the ant pack guard?
We had a lot of fun and it was great to see Meeko, Panda, Rox, Kona, Logan and Spice playing.
Thanks again to Kathy for bringing Kona coffee - yum!
Kona got a new hairdo and if I do say so myself, Val did an excellent job on him. She did a scissor cut and I was impressed. You will adjust, Kathy!
Meeko is also back at her house and the Rox is missing her. Panda and Logan are also home and its rather QUIET here.
I got all my grooming in early. Kat has to have a bath tomorrow and tomorrow evening I get to go to a vaccination seminar. It's about the new protocols. I have over 100 pages to read tonight.
I know... I best get reading. Did I ever say I hate reading dry stuff? B-O-R-I-N-G but so necessary so I can know what is best.
It's best to learn until you die - or so they say!
Spice had a bath today and she is on her way to looking like the cat dragged her through the bush.
I just love dawgs, I do, I do, I do. Repeat over and over when I see their dirty faces and all that laundry and grooming to do.
Okay, it's not that bad but it is one of those days.
Fiona is also still having morning sickness. Poor thing...
Since Mia came she has been mothering the pups. It's as if she went - oh my baby... and she got back into a mothering mode - which she was always great at.
Wasabi brings a smile to my face as she is truly a special dawg.
Fiona is going into yet another day of hardly eating. This morning sickness is not fun and she's one of those I need to give a bath to. Tomorrow...
Nathan is gone to a family celebration over the weekend so its me and the dawgs.
Kona is coming for a visit and Meeko's been visiting. Then we will get to see Coco and Doozie...ah fun.
Isn't an absolutely great day of sunshine? Thunderstorms coming tonight - oh well... so remind me why I am bathing tomorrow.
We were at the word and it was - well not what it used to be but Kat enjoyed himself.
Then on the way to the car we got a hot dog and Kat wolfed it down like he was a starving dawg.
Kat needs a bath but he had fun.
Then we had a visit with Mia and her parents - now that was fun!
Now can you imagine Fiona walking around without her hair tied back?
This is another day of morning sickness and eating only half her meal.
Ultrasound on October 7th.
Kat was having a roaring grand time with Logan today doing that run like hey game. It was great to watch them.
It's been two days of morning sickness with Fiona. She is only eating half her food.
The dogs got so wet today that we had to dry and towel off the entire floor and them too.
I am tired but feeling better. Looking forward to getting out of the house tomorrow and you?
I want to check out http://www.prettieyiji.com/ in Hazleton Lanes. Nathan has been but I haven't.
It's a really crude version of how to cut the pads between the feet but that's all I am up to - sorry and Nathan - well he could do better with the camera. When someone else's feet grow, I will do another.
Maybe Fiona's pads need cutting? I will try to do one on cutting the feet nice and neat but don't count on that for a bit.
PS: This was a non grooming day as I am not up to it so you get to see Fiona a mess!
Seriously she had one! Okay she refused to keep her hair out of her eyes. Her hair looks healthier after babies. It's long but easy care.
Her paws are all neat and hey I think she looks gorgeous but I rather enjoy dawgs being dawgs and not a princess.
I will try to get a better shot when I am feeling better but she feels wonderful as she always does after a bath.
Risa has a new haircut and how can you tell? You can see those beautiful white feet of hers.
She still has a ton of hair but quite literally about 4 inches was taken off. She still has a Jlo butt with all that extra hair but it makes her cute, imho.
Clipping feet coming I hope as the video camera was half dead. Hoping it came out.
Argh it didn't will have to do another one tomorrow or later tonight. Sorry about that!
Tomorrow we will do a video of feet but today we are wet. It's raining and we all look like wet rats.
This was taken just before the rain hit.
We are playing a lot of indoor games and the dawgs love it.
I can't groom anymore. I can't do a video. Just too much to do when it rains floor wise, grooming wise and I didn't get much sleep last night.
Daddy was back so we had a lot of bed jostling for position last night and Daddy spending way too much time getting Rox to sleep with him. hahahaha
She was a wondering last night and Truffie - well he slept at the top of the bed on a pillow way comfie and didn't move. I wish they all did that last night.
I love the movement of the Havanese. They never cease to amaze me.
Havanese are very agile. They are full of life and truly know how to take a piece of your heart and get you to fall. It's just something that happens.
They can also drive you nuts like trying to wake you up to play or not coming in when you are late for an appointment. All of this is handled with training.
Why do we attend classes when we could teach the course? We have done so many I can tune it out and know what will be said. The reality is it is socialization. bonding, and it's not just the class but the days in-between, the car ride and oh yeah the treats.
Our dawgs are what we put into them. We all get busy. We all fall off the horse so to speak but when we get back to it - well good things happen.
This is a small fraction of what was going on today. I had a delightful time between grooming and feeding and playing to capture a few moments.
It was nice to see Treasure out playing. She now has small stints playing with the crew while her pups sleep. They are now sleeping a good chunk of time after feeding so she has Mommy time.
Fiona is either getting fat or is indeed pregnant. I believe it is the latter.
It's cold outside and we rather like it. The human is not sure. We like to hang out and let the cool breeze do its thing but she has to get coats and socks and all on.
Last night she opened the window and we were extra cold. I know why she did it. Then we get under the blankets and snuggle with her. We don't mind and she rather likes it.
Here's to cool weather tonight and warm cozy times under the blankies!
This was Risa this morning letting the wind blow through her hair. I don't care how messy the gal gets she looks beautiful to me. :-)
With Nathan out of town I got through all the grooming easily but Spice looked a messy 5 minutes later. I am not sure what to do with that gal!
I guess I should just embrace messy. Messy with no knots is just fine - is it not?
We go in for her ultrasound on October 7th. Stay tuned!
Daddy thinks I am pregnant as I am WAY suckie. What is that? Oh I want to snuggle 24/7.
Mommy likes those snuggles.
