What a Day

Yes, we are all doing the stairs now. You see it's not about fear with this crew. It is about length of body. It's simply harder for the little ones to make the stairs as our stairs are steep - more so than usual. But they are all determined and yes they are going up and down the stairs. It's easy to forget that this crew is 8 days younger and they had to keep up with the older crew. It actually was good for them as they achieved earlier watching and being determined at keeping up. I am proud of you.

The first one from this crew doesn't go home till the 17th. That's Radar.

Journeys are going to begin soon.

Here's a few videos.

No Outdoors

It was too damp and cold today so we did a lot of indoor play and well they paper shredded a toilet paper roll that happened to be in the bathroom. Havanese are paper shredders. They think it is a delightful amount of fun.

Well, the pups have stopped eating during the night. They are sleeping and making that trek to going to their forever homes.

We will see changes as pups leave. It is an interesting process.

Here's a gallery taken from today and yesterday.

Silly Play

Oh the pups are full of it. They got so used to getting out to play when the doorbell rings that now they think each time it does it is time to get out. They are too smart for their own good. We tell people not to ring the bell but people do. Got to figure out how to remove the sound. hahahaha At least once a day someone rings it even when we say don't - just knock. If I can't train humans....

Pups are running like crazy upstairs. As I type I can hear them. They love the run and oh my are they fast. Even Radar and the little black and white yanks themselves up on the stair now. It's easier for the longer and bigger ones you know.

Patches got her last play in with Radar before he departs. Dennis has the camera so those photso will be included tomorrow. They had their one on one session a few times today.

This was their first time outdoors out of the xpen so they had the freedom to run. do the stairs etc. Oh my are they good. They are also fast. Check out the video. Bouncy pool cover - no problem.

They were out twice today and just LOVED it and although I felt I was cold, they didn't feel it one bit. Must be all that lovely hair. Here's a gallery.

Such Perfect Markings

When we look at show dogs, black and whites are always stunning in the ring and this boy has stunning markings.

We have had upstairs, downstairs play. Tomorrow we take them outside as long as it doesn't rain. Each day it doesn't rain we will have one play session outdoors.

I can't believe that soon they will depart and life is to change for all in some way or another.

Moms are really playing with the pups now that they are weaned.

Here is a gallery and some videos.

Interesting

Don't you find it interesting that Adele and Roxie pups almost weigh the same. It happens.

Pups were not sore today. They have been out a number of times. We had planned to take them outside till it rained. First dry day outdoors is in store.

Roxie has finally weaned her pups so they are exclusively on dog food with chicken sprinkled in. When I put Starter Mousse down Roxie's pushed the Adele pups out of the way to get it. My has times changed. They all love the mousse.

Here is a couple of videos today. It's a no gallery day just because I am fried.

Vet Checkup

A thorough checkup which includes, eyes, ears, nose, throat, heart, patella, stomach, bite/teeth. No pees, no poos, no vomiting the entire trip and we just got back and left over 5 hours ago. They came back and ate up a storm and had an output marathon. Sorry but true. What do you expect after holding it for so long. Here is a gallery from the vet visit of both litters.

The pups were amazing. They are in great health. No Roxie pup howled, cried or did anything but wag a tail at the vet.

Pups now weigh:

Brown sable white ring 3lb 1.5 oz

Larger Brown sable 3lb 13 oz

Smaller Brown sable 2lb 15.5 oz

Black and White 3lb

Red Sable 3lb 10oz

Videos of before the vet visit will be found on Adele's blog.
