The pups are really getting to that fun stage. Give them a few more days and we will have them playing outside their xpen.
I now lay down in their pen at least a couple of times a day to get them to get used to me. It's fun and gives me one on one time.
I combed out Adele and I do so daily and she is losing hair from the puppy climb throughs. 5 pups doing that to you does that. But oh she so loves them.

It's a no gallery day. We have someone coming to check but right now our downloads are fine. Our uploads are dismal. Something that should take 5 minutes is taking well over an hour. So, we will put up the gallery tomorrow. The videos are making it up but very slow too.
Puppies are wonderful. They are getting mobile and soon I will start taking away blankets so they get used to the flooring. Not all - just small patches at a time.
It's going to be a fun process!

They are doing rather good using the pad - well some of them. But it has begun. I think one of the videos you will see one go by herself and use the pad. Bravo little one.
Pups are delightful to interact with. Adele is ever so doting!

As you can tell we have a pretty relaxed crew. I did startle one when I loomed over him but then he went oh its you. hahahaha
Pups are starting to learn to use the pad. Soon we will introduce water and food when they are really sturdy on their legs. I am trying to wait till Nathan gets back so he can enjoy the experience too. They are still gaining well so adding food is not necessary at this point.
They have started playing with toys and they love to play with me. I just love it!

Kai said hi to Adele pups today. She was curious and oh so gentle. They were curious too. It didn't last long. We just did it long enough to say hello.

The pups are starting to play with us and each other. Exciting times. Be sure to check out the rest of the videos so you can see their play.
Got to love this fat bunch. They will start thinning out when they start walking well. Next stage will be food when they can stand and walk.

The pups are just 2 days shy of 3 weeks. They are attempting to walk and get around. As soon as they are we will start adding food to the equation. Momma Adele is taking care of them really well. They are plump and fat!
I am spending a lot of time crawling into the xpen so they get accustomed to this big huge thing. Those that just watch get extra massages and attention. they all get a massage to some degree. I find they look forward to seeing you and relax quite well when getting a massage. Wouldn't you? There is a method to my madness. I always do this to create a bond and give them something to look forward to when they see me.
Some are more curious than others at this point. That will change when they get mobile.
The verdict is in. They love the extra space and the soft blankets to cuddle with.

The pups had a huge change today. Their whelping box is now gone and they are in a big old xpen with lots of room to practice walking and explore. How are they doing? Great! Be sure to check out the videos.
Pups are looking around. They are quite curious when awake and momma is very attentive. Usually we wait till 3 plus weeks but it was getting crowded and Jeannie's pups needs the higher railings on their whelping box.
Besides with Nathan away for 6 days, it made sense to get it done before departure as it takes an investment of time to take out the whelping box, redo the areas etc This way it is done!

The pups are starting to interact with toys. Usually I wait till they are crawling out of the whelping box but they may be moved out of the box sooner than later. We shall see.
They seem very relaxed with me holding them and loving them up. It's rather nice!
Oh and that puppy breath... wonderful!

Pups get mighty relaxed these days. They will soon have to come out of the whelping box to give them room to practice walking etc. They are eating well and enjoying the touches!

Now everyone can see and in a few days when their eyes are clear you will start to see some small changes in activity that will increase daily. When they try to climb out of the box the whelping box will go and they will have an open pen with blankets and toys. Starting tomorrow I will add some toys for visual fun for them.

Pups are fat, doing well and even make faces at you when you hold them. They are a riot!
