15 Days Old

As you can see, Alanza is filling out and growing. I am still trying to get her to eat off mom and she does at times but I think she prefers the bottle as it is easier and she doesn't have to prime mom to get milk. 

The pups are doing well. They find mom and Sage is an amazing mom.

Last 2 With Eyes Open

Here is the gallery.

Yes, Alanza has her eyes open - mostly slits but are open. She is now consistently gaining and edging up on 7 ounces. She is half the size of her siblings but I have high hopes she will continue to play catchup. She sure loves her food.

This is 1st born and her eyes are completely open. This means all 6 now have their eyes open.

2 Weeks Old

I will add photos to the gallery and videos after I take more after I get up. I am about to go to bed in 30 minutes or so.

Pups are doing well. I will check when I get up to see if anyone else has opened their eyes.

13 Days Old

Everyone is gaining, including Alanza. We still await eyes to open on 3. Eyes open when eyes are meant to open. It is not an indicator on anything. It has happened on day 10 and then again on day 21. 

I brushed up the moms a bit ago. I am also doing laundry after needing change awaiting the 550am feeding. Every 2 hours at this stage. The 55am will be my last feeding till afternoon when I wake up. Nathan will do the feedings while I am sleeping and I try to get up so he can nap. I get about 5 hours sleep then if all goes like yesterday, I crawl into bed for 2 hours so I can stay up. I have not adjusted yet and eating is strange as my times are thrown off. I haven't had a coffee for a couple of days as I usually have some at 7am. Miss my blueberry muffins but I am out. I like Tim Hortons the best and hoping Nathan can go out quickly and get some.

Pups are crawling here and there at times. It is cute to watch and yes, that includes Alanza.

2 Updates Today: 12 Days Old

Pups are all gaining well - finding mom. Even Alanza is slowly adding weight to her and better amounts as time goes on. Sage remains an amazing mom.

As I am doing night shift including, laundry, setting up for dogs to feed, water etc, I am a tad behind and I now have a dog to groom. So bear with me.

5th eyes opened was yesterday. Today we have 3rd born girl and 4th born boy. Above is the 3rd born and here is the gallery.

11 Days

I will add to it after getting up. That won't be till afternoon and I have groomings to do. The pups are all gaining. Alanza had 2 feedings so far and she is gaining during the night. That is why I am doing the night shift so I can keep the weight gaining. She gained 3/8oz - largest since birth so she is heading in the right direction. 

It is quiet in the house. Moms are sleeping. 

Nathan has a birthday party he needs to attend tonight so after I groom, I may head to sleep again. Then he can go. It all depends on weight gains. Wish I could trust the alarm. 

Ronnie brought a chicken pot pie. I had a mouthful and then I went to shower and it was gone. I guess they thought I had a whole meal. Hoping we can get a Costco order in 1st thing in the morning as we are out of food and with me sleeping, Nathan can't go shopping. 

Oh well - the pups are doing wonderful. Me, I am starting to feel sleepy. Maybe more coffee?

10 Days Old

Okay change of plans. Nathan is going to do the 7pm and 9pm feedings and I will sleep. Then I am doing the night shift. Dennis is nervous about the feedings so - best I can do is to try to take over for everything but 2 feedings. Oh boy. Wish me well.

Alanza is not gaining at night but does gain during the day. Everyone else finds mom and is gaining.

Not sure I can do this but must, it seems.

9 Days Old

The pups are all double to size of Alanza. This makes sense as the larger they are, the more they can take in and the more they will grow. They simply have outstanding faces. I know I am biased but seriously they do.

Alanza gives me kisses after eating. It is precious. The brown and white first born kisses me too.

The darkest one seems to be a growing concern. Climbing, pushing others out of the way to get as many milk bar stations as they can. It is a riot. What personality.

I am ajusting to doing everything between 1 hour and 45 minutes. I was hoping this was still not so but we are making headway.
