Maybe a false positive - not down low enough as it is 99.4 at the moment. We will see how it goes.

No drop yet. :-) She has had her bath this way after she has pups I only have to clean underneath and her backend.
When you save the big bucks and you do not do progesterone testing (we did it with Adele due to travelling), you never quite know what day.
Temperatures normally go up and down depending on room temperature. You do not pay attention to the numbers unless it gets into the low 98s and then starts rising. Last time Roxie got down to the low 98s and had puppies very soon after that. It will all be a surprise.
I would love them to come sooner than later but it is what it is.

We started taking temperatures even though we do not expect any imminent labour. She is sitting at 99.8 at 6pm. Pup are still kicking. She is eating and the belly is getting bigger.
Today I had the Adele pups out of the whelping box and she could see them through the xpen. She was so fascinated. She will have hers soon enough.
We will be updating daily and you will know when I think she is close. It is not yet. :-)

I am getting into the home stretch and that Adele won't be the only one with pups. I will stop eyeing hers and smiling at them when I have my own. I wonder how many girls and how many boys. Any guesses?

Click on Photo for Larger ViewHer tummy is growing. The pups are active and she is eating well now. Of course she won't eat unless it is steak or Starter Mousse or bacon or - the list goes on. What can I say. She is spoiled. She loves Chicken Shawarma especially if it is extra crisp. Got to laugh.
Remember her first due date is next week so I haven't a clue when she will go into labour but we will be posting as they come. I doubt they will be as large as Adele's were but they will be a good size, I am sure. Hope it's a day time litter - afternoon please after labour starts in morning and done by early evening. I know just because I posted something like this it will doom me to a night time labour.
Now I am hoping that Leti and Panda does not go into heat till after puppies come. Crossing fingers and toes.

Mommy thinks I have a bit to go. It gives me more time to snuggle with her before I have responsibilities. I rather liked that I had Mommy last night. I snuggled up closely and slept with her in her arm all night. I think Momma's arm went numb.

I cut Adele off at the pass when she is returning to her pups. I try to stick around when she is out. Mom and Dad make me go out too. I want those puppies, puppies, puppies.

Click on Photo for Larger ViewThis is the xray from Roxie. She is sitting at 12.4lbs. She is having 5 puppies. There is not as much calcification so we suspect a week for her. Roxie feels small in comparison to Adele. Does that mean a bit more than a week? We will see what timing she has. Her pups indeed are kicking up a storm.
Both girls had a cheeseburger on the way home. :-)

Mommy had my towels and blankets lining my box in such a neat way that I decided to mess it all up. So, Mommy has decided to fold everything and just make this mound in the middle. That's not the way it is supposed to be. I know it and she knows it. Why doesn't she like my decorating job?
My heat lamp is not plugged in and won't be till pups arrive.
I get my xray tomorrow. I should be able to get a good xray but if I am due on the last date possible, perhaps not. We shall see what tomorrow brings. A clear xray or not doesn't bother us as this is not my first pregnancy. The humans know how to tell if there are pups still left to whelp. It's just nice to have a number for all of you. But remember we have had an extra pup even with an xray as one can be hiding behind.
More info after xray. I am hoping Roxie is due closer not the furthest away. We shall see. Hard to know without progesterone but you can usually tell with calcification seen in the xrays.
