9 Weeks 3 Days

I was out today so we have a short blog but I did manage to get some videos when I came home.

Be sure to check them out.  One of them Nathan held Cinnamon up so you could see her tummy.

The dogs keep trying to drink milk from Cinnamon. She doesn't know what to think.

Pups were wildly having fun tonight. In 3 days a bath for Charlie and in 4 days she departs and the next 2 get a bath. 

I am going to miss this crew. They have truly been a fun, fun group. The boy no longer puts up with theantic of his sisters.

9 Weeks 2 Days Old

We are doing a short blog today. Here is today's gallery.

Pups had their legs rinsed off to help them cool down outside. It actually helped. They have been out 3 times today. They are simply so delicious at this stage. they are so fun to watch.

Lighter brindle - will blonde out is remaining here. She's a full spirited troublemaker. LOL She is going to be a handful. So, with that in mind - got an idea for a name? Should have a spice name somewhere as it is carrying on the line. 

Nathan has settled on a name: Talemaker's Wild Sage <-- it suits her as she is a troublemaker - a wild one. Thanks for all the help!

9 Weeks Old Today

Can you believe they are 9 weeks old today? I must take their weights. They are growing. They are becoming more agile. they are just plain fun.

2 Updates: Kai's New Family

Kai has a new family. Kai's coat is not coming in thick enough to show. The way the shows are today, they expect a profuse coat. So we made the very difficult decision to put her in a home she will love. 

I find when we do this, it is so very hard but Kai is a wonderful pup. She truly is. 

This is a wonderful family.

One Day Shy of 9 Weeks

Pups had a glorious time outdoors on a windy day. The wind didn't bother them in the least.

8 Weeks 5 Days Old

The pups had fun in a bowl of water today. It was hot outside and it seems we need to call the air conditioning guy. :-( Always something.

If you do not have a pool and you want to cool off your pup, just fill up a saucer from a plant pot and voila you have a pool for your wee one. It even works for larger dogs.

The pups are truly at that fun, fun. fun stage.

Sea of Pups

Nothing better than a sea of pups. Don't you know? Puppies had visitors over and surely they had fun.

Pups are now eating solid kibble. We add some grated up chicken for interest and yesterday they had grated up lamb. They are in heaven. Then there are times we just leave kibble. No softening now. 

I am going to have to take another weight when they are tired to see what they are since the vets.

It's hard to believe that the first puppy goes home on the 18th. So much to get ready for....

8 Weeks 3 Days Old

Look at this photo. The pups are absolutely adorable at this age. The way they play is such a delight to see.

Mom is no longer feeding them. They were really looking for it this morning but Saffron held strong. They are no longer on Mousse. They have kibble that is increasingly getting hard. This way it does not have to be softened when they go home.

The puppies are truly enjoying this weather and they are lasting longer with their play and sleep longer for their naps.

8 Weeks 2 Days Old

The pups are so much fun at this age. It is a riot to watch them. As I was franticly trying to wash dogs as our water was getting shut off, Nathan was with them for the first part and took a video and a few photos.

Stone is going to miss playing with this crew. He really enjoys every minute of it. 

The pups have been out twice and they are about to go out again when the sun is not so bright. It's an issue without shade. 

The pool gets open on Tuesday and I truly hope they get to swim before they go home. It depends on the weather. Not looking hopeful at the moment.

8 Week Visit

We had our 8 week visit. It was fun - well at least I hope so. The pups were great. Unfortunately we have a major leak in our kitchen sink with a broken faucet and under the sink the wood is rotted away so a big repair job. I only tell you this as Nathan was stuck with the plumber at first and the families was stuck with me till Nathan was done. I was trying to talk and take video and photos. I am sure Nathan was missed.

Cinnamon's sister, Ines was here as they are adding a puppy to their home. She was great with the pups. Some are rather intimidating having so many at once. She was great.

It was hot in the sun without any covering - sorry families but I hope you all survived. 

I am still coughing my head off but getting better each day.

8 Weeks Old Today

They had a bath today. Sorry no pretty photos. We do have a gallery. I didn't snap them dry. Sorry. I am still sick. Dennis is crawl into bed sick. So, we snapped a few wet and I did 3 at once. As you can see Ms. 1st born had something to say about it in the photo above. Plus you will have to follow the other blog to see what a disaster today was. But we laugh...

Pups did rather well. We have decided the boy is the talker. The black and white likes to yank his tail and drag him around. He finally told her enough today. Good one.

8 Week Vet Visit

The boy 2lb 2 oz.

The pups are 8 weeks old tomorrow. Here is a gallery before they went to the vets. We try to tucker them out and get them to do their business so they have the most positive ride. They were not tired yet when we got into the car. But they did keep their crate clean to the vets and back from the vets. It wasn't till they got home that they used the pad at home. Bravo little ones!

How was the ride? They serenaded us till we got on the highway. We ignored it and they settled in for the long ride. On the ride back, not a peep. 

We arrived at the vet and was seen pretty much after arrival. See the vet gallery. 

The pups were really good until the microchip and all yelped. Miss lighter brown was a troublemaker but even she said okay... do what you have to.

No one yelped for the shots. It was just the microchip. It's large for small pups so the injection does hurt. sigh. It's a necessity. 

All pups are in great health and the boy has his parts visible. Sometimes when they are small or nervous the testicles get pulled up but he was able to find them. They are sleeping as I type. It was a long day for them.

Mom half fed them this morning but really does not have much milk. It's done, little ones. It's time to start transitioning completely to kibble. 

Treats were ordered today for their departure bags. Baths tomorrow and visit on Saturday - wow. We are hoping they are not sore tomorrow but it happens sometimes. At least they will be back to normal for the visit.

Vet Visit

This is the nap before the vet visit then we will play outdoors till we pack up and head to the vets. We are leaving around noon and won't be back till 6ish so look for an update of the blogs late.

7 Days 5 Days Old

On the MoveThe pups are enjoying the heat. I was going to bathe them for the vets tomorrow but decided I am actually not up to it and besides I want them freshly bathed for Saturday for the 8 week visit. So, baths Friday - it is. :-0

Updates will be late tomorrow as we do not depart until the afternoon. That means he won't return till after rush hour. We drive an hour and a half each way to our vets.

7 Weeks 4 Days Old

Pups are doing really well. Here is the gallery. 

They had a ton of fun outside and are outside again as I type. They can't get enough of it. 

Videos are coming later as we have a couple of dogs to pick up and I need to go to help Nathan. 

7 Weeks 3 Days Old

They are getting so confident in their achievements. It is so nice to see. Some run up and down that ottoman outdoors. They love the outdoors and who can blame them.

They are now eating kibble and mousse combined and soon will make the transition to just kibble as we soften it less and less till they are on hard food.

On Thursday they head to the vets. On Saturday they show off for their families. What a busy week but a fun one!

They all have all sorts of teeth in their mouth now. they are fun, fun and more fun!

Last Family Visit

This is a visit from the last of the families who lives way out of town. :-)

I am not well but I did manage to take video and some photos and noticed I hadn't even brushed my hair. Oh my and funny at that. One has to laugh at themselves. The pups didn't mind. 

Puppies were their usual ball of fun. It was too bad that we couldn't do it outside but it simply wasn't warm enough. I am sure the pups wouldn't have minded. 

Pups have been out 2 times with Dennis - thank you Dennis. I have sat in the pen with them and played. Nathan is changing pads, hugging pups and I am trying to finish the blog so I can lay down. It's been a long day for me.

Sibling Secrets

Doesn't it look like this one is whispering in her brother's ear? They are so cute at this age.

We had a few people over for a puppy potential visit and they got to see all the puppies. I heard that they had a great time. Nathan took videos and photos as I was unable to participate. I am simply too sick and I did not want anyone else to get this.

Tomorrow the 6th family for these pups is visiting as they live quite a distance. 

These pups will have a tremendous exposure to a variety of humans of different sizes. This is all so positive.

7 Weeks Old

7 weeks old - can you believe it? Pups are having fun outside multiple times a day with just their mom or with the other dogs. They relish it all!
