Morning Visit Time

It was crazy busy. Imagine if we didn't have a large kitchen. The pups are seriously in deep sleep hopefully waking up for the afternoon visit.

Raven's boy did well.

Check out the videos.

Afternoon visit will be on Leti's blog - photos gallery and link to videos.

Think next visit we will try to get a balance for the same ampunt in the morning as the afternoon.

First Bath Raven Boy

Raven's boy stylin. The other 2 that Raven takes care of will be on Leti's blog.

Check out the gallery.

I put a tie on the boys and hats or ribbons on the girls.

How was he? He was wonderful. What an adorable boy! He was a pleasure in the bath and under the dryer.

It took 6 plus hours to wash and dry and take photos. Next bath will be an altogether, dry together experience.  Now I have blogs, adults to brush out and I so want and need a nap. Glad I did the moms yesterday!

I so wished this one was a girl as I would be keeping him. LOL

Raven and the 3

Raven loves the pups and is often seen playing with this one. She is a gentle soul but does guide them and tells them when she doesn't appreciate their antics. Pups are teething and she doesn't like to be teethed on. Moms teaching them what they can and can't do can be amusing but it is so critical as well.

Here is the gallery.

Hoping you enjoy the effort of the baths and photos tomorrow. It takes approx 15 minutes per puppy. That is 210 minutes plus photo shooting, So - about 20 minutes per pup. This will take approx 4.5 hours. That is why I did moms today. The 8 week visit, I may bathe each litter together and take group shots and dry together. We shall see.

Sleep Cycles

Pups do not go - it is nap time and all 14 fall asleep at once. It is not the way it works. One may have slept longer or later and be raring to go and another may be more low key as it is their temperament to be so. It is hard to digest that in an hour play session and they do change between 6-8 weeks.

The beauty of us spending so much time with them is we can sort that all out and be honest as to what we see.

See the gallery.

Right now this Raven boy is sleeping more as he is younger but he won't be in another week. His skills seem up to par with the older guys. He truly holds his own. I am impressed. You give him a challenge and he meets it.

Raven at the Visit

What became obvious at this visit is Raven's boy keeps up with the rest. He is pretty amazing.

We were talking size and Raven's boy is stocky and round but he will not be big. He just feels that way. His grannie Jeannie is short in leg but likes to eat. He is also a gentle boy that loves people.

I am rather fond of him. Till Saturday...and more puppy families!

The moms now feed standing up.

Here is a small mini gallery.

Come Saturday, they are going to be exposed to a whole slew of people. We do have a couple of people coming tomorrow so they will have a conditioning of sorts.

They are wonderful puppies. Come Friday baths for all 14. Thursday I will do the moms as it is impossible to do 14 pups and 3 moms and eat or feel alive. LOL

This will be the 1st time for puppies in my new dog tub.

Youngest Pup

Ever wonder what it is like being the youngest? He will be 1 day short of 6 weeks on the Saturday visit. You won't see a difference, I am sure except he goes to sleep earlier. How much they sleep is a development thing and they sleep less as they get older.

But as I check the camera throughout the night, they are sleeping the night. This morning they wanted us to get up at 6am vs 7am. We are conditioning them to sleep till 7.

The Play

Raven boy sticks up for himself. I am glad of it as he is learning how to deal and cope and get the best of someone else, if he has to. Otherwise he is a playful, mighty loving boy.

Videos go up tomorrow. I am just too tired tonight.

Willow Plays With Pups

Willow is Raven's sister from a different litter. Interesting enough they have very similar personalities. Willow had a blast with the pups and it was so nice to see. Leti told a puppy - no you can't feed. They had already fed. So, it begins. As the pups eat more, they eat less from moms and moms enjoy not having teeth yanking on them.

Be sure to check out the videos. Have one with Willow playing with the pups.

Getting Bigger

The Raven boy is getting thinner in the body but larger. He was getting so round, I imagine it was hard for him to walk and suddenly he is slim. Growth does that. His hair started out very curly and now it's simply has light waves.

He is growing up and those coming for a visit won't even see the age difference any longer. He is such a loving boy like Raven.

Be sure to check out the videos.

Morning and More

Raven's boy can be found all over the place. He is such a lover. He likes his massages. LOL

Here's the gallery from upstairs play today.

What happened after a long night by themselves (they did really well). Well Leti refused to feed hers - stay tuned. Raven fed hers upstairs and Cinnamon downstairs in the large pen. Then Leti came down and fed hers in Raven's pen. Such a riot. Nathan thought she was weaning. I knew she wanted to feed just hers without teeth though the Leti crew all have teeth but 1. The lone one has a tooth poking almost through. Raven's boy has a mouthful.

Be sure to check the videos.

They really did really well and they are dealing with moms coming in when its time to feed or playing with them when they come out. The moms get excited and so do the pups.

I suspect we wil hear voices tonight as they know what is occurring but that will stop too. It's why we do it to allow them to embrace changes.

The pups - they are truly wonderful!

Playing Together

Raven's boy is really coming into himself. He has really become the age of the older Leti Crew all on his own. When this begins with such a broad age span, you wonder if the youngest will play catch up or meet the challenge and he has. He was pulling her tail and jumping all over her. I am impressed!

Be sure to check out the videos.

Tonight they will have another first. They will go upstairs without moms. They will be across the hall from us. They will have a camera on them so I can watch and hear. We will see if any of the moms tune into the ipad. Sometimes they do.

They will come down to a fresh xpen.

How do we feed 14 when they feed from their moms?

Raven's 3 goes into the xpen she used. Cinnamon's remain in the large xpen and leti's are fed outside of the xpen. It means every few hours we do this but tonight their last feeding will be at 10pm and the next from moms will be at 7am. They will have food that they are eating and water dishes.

Tomorrow we will report how they did. Stay tuned!

All Together Now

Be sure to watch the videos.

The pups for the 1st time are all in one pen downstairs. Poor Raven was mighty confused but she gets it now. She went into her pen and was acting like - you took my pups. Where are they.

Here is the gallery.

I put her in with them and put hers on her to feed and all is right in the world.

They will stay in this pen together tonight.

Tomorrow they will go upstairs without their moms. They did adjust quickly. Raven's boy, the youngest was the one I was worried about and he had no issue. One pup serenaded us and then when he realized he was not going to come out or be held, he just fell asleep like the rest. usually you have lots of fussing as they adjust to so many changes but this crew of 14 - well they are really something else.

Wednesday stay tuned to how they did upstairs.

The pups are wonderful!

Due to people on our waiting list wanting to wait till spring, we still have a puppy available. We have not advertised it. Someone wrote, had a fun time with the pups and today we have several people contacting us so I suspect the pup will go fast. It's been a VERY long time since we didn't have pups accounted for ahead of time.

4 Weeks Old

Can you believe Mr. Youngest boy just turned 4 weeks. He has had to meet the challenges of the older crew and has done pretty spectacular with it.

He is now walking better on the slippery wood floor and he had a taste of walking on tile in the kitchen and did really well.

The pups are growing up!

1 Day Short of 4 Weeks Old Plus 2

Is this a yawn just watching these videos and looking at these galleries? Soon you will be able to see them.

Raven's boy is getting better on the slippery floor. We decided Monday we are going to try them all together downstairs in one pen. We will still leave Raven's up so she can feed them on scheduled feedings but this will tell us if they can go upstairs Tuesday.

Our first visit will be November 30th. It means the 29th I will be washing all 14 pups and 3 moms. I am not sure if I will get individual photos in but we will for the 8 week visit if not the 6 week. Baths are 15 to 20 minutes each. Moms are an hour each. Care to do the math? If I put 7 together then 7 together and dry them together it will be reduced times But not as fun for you.

We are having 2 visits in 1 day. Then we play recover. laughing loudly....

I love seeing the humans enjoy the pups we have been nurturing. Fun times coming in 2 weeks.

Almost 4 Weeks: 26 Days Old

The little one who weighs more than the Leti pups except 1 who weighs the same is almost 4 weeks. About 4.5 weeks we place them upstairs without their moms. To us, it is an important stage. It helps them to be without mom for a period of time. It helps them to rely on food and water not just mother's milk. It creates a level of independence. This helps them to make the transition to your home.

The moms, believe it or not sleep with me watching the pups on the ipad and listening. I get no sleep - yeah that's my line but so true as I am a typical mom watching, listening and making sure they are okay. They always are but just in case I still go through that process. I did it with our kids, LOL

From now on - as we have the 14 together, you will have a test of who is whom. I will be doing only one gallery and several videos. I will rotate on which blog I put them on. Now is the time to test your knowledge. Can you tell what puppy belongs to whom? Raven is easy but is Leti and Cinnamon's?

Here is the gallery.

25 Days Old

To play and sleep.... and they look so cute sleeping.

Blogs are short today. See Leti's blog why and to see the crew of 14 playing upstairs. Videos will be up soon. Nathan even tried to take a video of me and the pups.

24 Days Old Plus 2

You can find Raven like this off and on much of the day. It's so interesting the level of adoration.

Here is the gallery.

The gallery link of the 14 pups on their 2nd visit upstairs together is on the Cinnamon's blog.

The Raven boy is now heavier than any of the Leti crew. He loves to eat. He will be easy to obedience train. You have to check out the videos where he saddles the puppy pad to use it by himself. Got to laugh.

First Play Upstairs

First the Cinnamon Pups came up, then the Leti and then the Raven crew.

Here is the gallery of all 14 upstairs.

It was a riot to see all 14 in a variety of sizes together.

Watch the videos to see how they did.

I placed the gallery here as there was concern for the youngest Raven boy. He was more than fine.

Here is a gallery of just the Raven Crew.

22 Days Old Plus 2

Here is the gallery.

The 3 pups are eating well. Yes, that includes - over 2lb Raven boy. LOL

Be sure to check out the videos.

One is really cute of the apricot and cream gal biting the Raven boy's tail. He is full out playing now and eating and digesting well. He even drank water. Go figure. He is determined to catch up in his development with the other 2. Dennis asked how old is he now? He said, he surely doesn't act like the youngest.

All of this crew is now almost 2lb or just over.

They are really coming into their own.
