Snow Angels & More

Leti is doing snow angels. Did you know if you relax and enjoy life, you can join in? LOL I have done so but only when there is more snow and the dogs react like I am doing the best thing ever!

Here is the gallery.

Benji, Leti's pup who Raven took care of is here for a few days. He is having a total blast as you will see in the photos.

You can also see a video of him but it is sideways. Nathan always manages to do this with his phone.

He wasn't sure what to make of Jesse but he is adjusting - touching noses etc. It has been good for him. Jesse is a gentle giant.

So much for the huge storm. They say it is still coming tonight and tomorrow now but we shall see. The dogs will love it and it is now -4c so no snowballs - hooray. My yard will look pretty and maybe I will go out and do snow angels.

The dogs are enjoying themselves today. Much running around in and out.

Soon tv time and that means snuggle time.

Pingo and Chester departs tomorrow and their exuberance will be missed. Ollie came for the day today and will be back tomorrow perhaps. He adds his own fun in. The Brewer is here and just loves the cold outdoors.

It has been an extra fun dog day!

2 Updates: Vocal Jesse

Got to love Jesse. He gets so excited to engage in play.

Here is the gallery. We also have an 8th birthday celebration so look for that!

Ozzie arrived with an exuberant desire to play. He's playing up a storm. LOL No photos as it's my day off and Dennis already took photos. Tomorrow....

We are off to the vets for Halle and Tempest's shots. Yeah on my day off but Nathan said he will go alone but not going to get him to do 2 pups by himself.

Sage is in heat but too young to breed. But this tells me so it begins - craziness of heats.

Trying to learn a Cricut. Don't ask. It's a - no time and let's make mistakes so you feel like a failure experience but we persist.

Big storm is coming or so they say. When are weather people right? LOL But we want it. No matter what we do that snow looks like it has a yellow tinge yuck.

2 Updates: Happy 8th Birthday

Shady had his usual Starbucks pupperccino free on his birthday. And he shared with Nora. It’s steak for dinner of course. Happy 8th birthday to his siblings. I am sure they are bringing their families as much joy and laughter as my havanersers do!

Wet, Mucky But Still Fun

After much play, Ash cuddles up with this toy. You may see her with it a number of times. I think its her fave. I call her the comfort gal. She really likes her comfort!

Here is the gallery.

The best seat at tv time is this reclining sofa. Dennis tends to leave it reclined all day so they have more room. It's funny as we have 2 recliners in this room and 2 sofas and still this is the one they like the best. You can see Willow with Dusty in this photo. Willow will be departing momentarily.

This is Tempest and Mom Leti. When Abby was here (she just left early this afternoon) Leti cleaned and took care of her and so did her housemate Zoey - sisters now. Abby was really taken care of. LOL

It's really melting and yucky out there as you will see in the gallery. They say snow coming Thursday - hooray! Let it be powder snow.

Dusty departs tomorrow. She will be missed. Chester arrives tonight. Fun is to be had.

Pingo - well he thinks play is wonderful. He will play with all and smile right through it. What a happy boy!

Flying and Play

Yes, Halle can fly. LOL Grey just loves the puppies.

Grey also loves the older puppies.

Check out the gallery.

The dogs played and played. I groomed and groomed. Now I need rest. LOL Nine hour days several days in a row and tomorrow is the same. I have something in the mailbox that I want to see for the Cricut and no energy to go out and get it.

Its warm enough to be soppy wet out there.

Today they wanted to play indoors vs outdoors more. It can't be fun wading it cold water.

I have a friend in the mountains outside of Salt Lake. It's snowing and she's complaining about digging out. I want to have her storm. Snow enough that no one can go anywhere. We all want what we don't have. heh

Super Bowl

Well we are busy as it is Super Bowl Day and we had a number of last minute parties, I suspect as the dogs are partying here.

Here is the gallery.

We had a white dusting of snow. It was lovely. The dogs LOVE, LOVE, LOVE fresh snow. It is an invitation to run like crazy. No snowballs either - bonus!

Mandy is now home. I hear she cried a couple of times but slept too. Came home, ate and is playing. She is happy to be home. Best news ever. When you hold these beings from birth till they depart, you can't help but want the best in life for them. I believe she won a jackpot. Wish she wasn't so far away but they promise to come to visit.

The dogs are funny. The play hard, they sleep well and they get excited when it is treat time. Meadow's mom made cookies and said Meadow didn't like them but every dog including Meadow ate them. Got to try that recipe again as it was a hit!

I fully groomed 10 dogs yesterday. I was a zombie and today 6. Tomorrow 6. Wednesday I am taking OFF! We shall see how that goes. I feel like a farmer. LOL

All the dogs were combed out but the first run through snow they don't look like it. Lola departed and she drank, ran outside and I think she had ice crystals in her beard. have to laugh!

Cold But Not Enough

It looks frozen out there - doesn't it? But Tempest and Tia found decomposing leaves and rolled on it so bath time. Got to love dogs. Why do they like smelly stuff?

Here is the gallery.

Mandy departs tomorrow. See her photos on Cinnamon's blog. She will be missed.

Dogs have been playing silly play. Hallie really loves the schnauzers and you will see her playing in the gallery. Tempest now can jump on to the couch from the floor with ease. We were shocked.

Classes have ended for a few weeks.

I groomed and groomed today. But fun was had by all. We are extra busy till Wednesay when I am taking a day off. LOL I must!

Oh many other things happened today but short blog. I still have to groom and feed the dogs. It is Nathan's day off. :-)

Brothers and More

Ollie and Pingo was playing their fool heads off. It is amazing with siblings look so that's you - so glad to see you. They are thrilled!

Here is a photo gallery of the brothers plus the rest of the crew. Ignore the livingroom mess. That's what the dogs do to it. I cover couches etc when it is wet so they can snuggle in and the couches are protected. We have waterproof pads under all the blankets to make cleaning easier.

The room that had all the xpens and my desk etc is now all set up for tv time and dogs. We are slowly getting there. Each day we do something new. Today it was putting safety latches as someone decided the compost container could be knocked out of the cabinet. Oh boy.... But now they can no longer openb that cabinet.  You would think I would know all the craziness, silliness that they can get into but sometimes a dog surprises you and teaches you that you do not know what trouble they can get into. This experience was a first.

The pups have finished class and start again in a few weeks. Mandy will depart Sunday and we will miss her.

I need to start washing my dogs again.

Back to play with the dogs and feeding. It's a fun filled day!

Schnauzer's Are Back

Interesting enough Hallie said wow fun dogs... She reacted differently to Jesse the 1st few minutes. Perhaps Jesse has conditioned her. She certainly loves a dog in class taht is much larger than her.

Here is the gallery.

Dogs had a blast today playing and playing.

I had a lovely dinner tonight with a dear friend. I had 2 keg sized gin and tonics. I may sleep tonight. LOL

Last class with the pups till Family Dog. How did the 4 weeks fly by so fast?

Mandy gets her bath on Saturday and departs Sunday.

Ellie, a Cinnamon pup will be staying over Saturday night so she gets to see Mandy before she departs.

Pingo is here and is playing his head off. Boy will he be tired when he goes home.

Meadow is playing with the big dogs, the pups - no issue. What fun!

Till tomorrow!

Before and After Grooming

This is Jeannie before grooming. It rather suits her.

Play starts here at 7amish after they go out first thing in the morning and ends about 950pm. But they do take naps. We have open crates everywhere if they want to sleep in a hideaway or the couches, chairs, beds etc They do need naps daily - even the adults. They play so hard that they need down time to regroup and play again. But do they all sleep at once? No! Only the ones that decide to go with Nathan to take a nap. they have a solid couple of hours, if you can believe.

Here is the gallery.

As it is still mucky, I was grooming all day. I just finished and we are about to get dinner ready.

Nathan is better - meds side effects. Not coronavirus. LOL We wash our hands so much.

Off to have dinner at the Keg tomorrow night with a dear friend.

Dennis had the crew running like crazy dawgs into this room or that and they were running after him. I want his energy! Don't we all?

Mighty Wet

This is what it looks like in our backyard. It is a mix of ice, slush and some patches of snow. It's very wet out there. I went out many times today and I have waterproof shoes and well I ended up stepping too deep and it seeped in my shoes and soaked my feet. I have to do this to get what the dogs must feel like - don't you know? LOL

Here is today's gallery.

Here are 2 brothers. The black and white, Benny just departed. Murphy who lives with Jesse is the other brother. Kat is the 3rd brother. It was nice to have them together.

Nathan is sick. It's supposed to be Dennis day off so I have to make this blog short. Sorry about that. I have to relieve Dennis.

Rain Really?

I feel like it is a cold spring with all this rain and muck. The dogs are going out but they are sick of the grooming, combouts and cleaning. Shlomo is at the point with Raven that they would rather go into a crate and pretend they are not here when it comes time to go outside. It is simply too cold and wet for them to truly enjoy. So snow or melt and have clear skies. I don't care but the dogs can't run on ice and through a ton of water so inside we run and play as they must have their exercise. I believe they need it so they sleep and enjoy.

Here is the gallery.

Early in the morning we had no rain and they went awww just like we did. then teh rain came and came and came and the ice is still there.

Oh well - tomorrow is a new day.

Less than a week and Mandy departs. We will miss her but they are going to love her. She's a wonderful dog.

Too Bloody Rainy

Dallas says it is too rainy out there and everyone agrees that no one wants to wade in ankle deep water. So we jump up and down for dinner and really we do especially for veal. We play inside games. We have tv time and we do runs up and down the hallways to expel energy. It's a good life even in lousy weather.

Here is a small gallery.

Here at Talemaker we wish everyone who celebrates Gong hei fat choy or Gong xi fa cai great happiness and prosperity!

Happy 1st Birthday

Happy Birthday to Handsome Pablo!  He is busy celebrating his 1st birthday today! Party time!

We cannot believe how time flies! Tanner is one year old today. To celebrate we had a little doggie cake and sang a song. Here are a couple pics. They're not great; maybe it's time for a new camera?

Here is the gallery link for the dogs that are here. Huge happy birthday to Pablo, Tanner, Kora and Poppy!

Fun Play and Love

We always manage to have grand fun - well the dogs do and we do cause they do!

Here is the gallery.

Cinnamon and her pups are reconnecting. She was not up to being mom for quite a bit of time so she is playing catch-up. It is nice. She's now off her puffers and only on her antibiotics. She is totally back to being her.

We were in class tonight. Tempest is like a butterfly. She gets so distracted. I have to laugh at her. Next week the last class. We missed seeing Zach. Hope to see him in the last class. It's a fun class only.

Keeping the Snow Clean

We try our hardest to shovel any output out each time we are out but if you see something in a photo, we are only human.

Here is the gallery.

Dogs are really meshed together. They are having fun and enjoying each day. I sat in the kitchen with some while Nathan napped and they all were napping. They play, they rest, they play, they go outside.

Today they each had a greenie and some were jumping up and down like maniacs saying don't forget me. It is joyful to watch so much enthusiasm.

Big Dog Socialization

Jesse and Murphy are here for the next couple of months while Mom goes and helps in Australia. Above is a photo Nathan took of Jesse and Tchibo. They had their moments today.

Here is the gallery.

Hallie screamed when she saw Jesse. One would have thought he stepped on her but it was fear. What the hey is that in my house? All the first timers and visitors go through this. They handle it in a variety of ways but it is a good experience. Okay, not everyone. Coco the Maltese was here today and went okay - a new playmate. But by the time Jesse's mom had departed, Hallie was play bowing and jumping all over him. This is big dog socialization and it is a great experience for your dog.

Hallie and the Maltese CocoWe are still working on the family room. The tv room now has our two end tables that are crates with doors open and beds on top of them. As we move furniture around after xpens are down, we either move it back or use it elsewhere.

Dogs are not reacting as I guess its a new adventure each day and new things to climb on. They seem to be used to this and enjoying the changes as most are for them. We have a real dog house. LOL
