23 Days Plus Weights

Here's today's gallery.

You really can't tell these are the youngest part of the crew. They have easily perfected their skills to meet the challenges just as Spice's crew did. Bravo, little ones!

They are not selective from whom they eat from. They will find Jeannie or Spice, if they can. They all love Jeannie's supply as she has so much milk that it is easy for them to get too full, burp and go to sleep. Yes, they burp. If you compare the weights with Spice's this crew as a whole is larger but not by that much. I can already tell who will be smaller than whom and it's not strictly by weight but rather by feet and feature size.

I don't expect much from this crew at this age but I look forward to getting them outside. Usually we wait till the 5 week mark. Looks like a warm weekend. Now to get the pool heated. heh

Just the one video with sound. The rest are on the other blogs.

3 Weeks 1 Day Old

Eat, sleep and play. Even the youngest crew seems to be getting around rather well. How did they go from that staggered walking to being more sure footed? This weekend we hope to get them all outside.

I just thought on the 6 week visit I will have to do 2 days of baths. 9 one day, 9 the next. Each bath takes approx 15- 20 minutes then there is photos wet and dry. You do the math. Going to be a long two days then. :-)

No more later. I am spent and still have another grooming to do.

20 Days Old

This crew is now edging up on 3 weeks. As the youngest they are interesting as they seem to be on the same development track as the Spice pups and that makes sense with only 2 days difference. Soon you will not be able to tell the difference between all 3 litters as the younger ones when this close meet the challenges of the older ones propelling them forward. They learn and try and push themselves to keep up till they do.

6 days is not a huge difference and I already see the younger ones walking quite well. When I clean the pen they slip on the linoleum but not terribly so. They are sure footed for this age.

On day 2 you will see in the gallery and videos how some are snuggling up with non siblings now. It also makes getting them with the right mom more a quick pace game.

We are now in a flash mob. Yes, suddenly I have 17 siblings vs. 5. How did that happen? Lots of pups to get along with. Oh well, it's but a dream and I need to sleep. heheheh

I guess we are doing really well according to the human here.

Here's some videos. Recognize some are now with all 3 litters.

New Digs: 18 Days Old

Just short of 3 weeks they are spreading their wings. How did they do? They were fascinated by the neighbours. They adjusted quickly and so did momma Roxie. Either tomorrow or the next day I am going to take the barriers down between the litters just during the day to see how they do. I will put them back up if Dennis wants the ease of not figuring out who is who when he is half tired. We shall see. Will they stay together or will they greet the others. It's going to be fun.

17 Days Old

In a day we will be placing them outside of their box. This is the plan but it may have to be adjusted. When these pups reach 3 weeks old (4 days from now) we will be placing them all together. It will effect individual litter galleries and videos but maybe cut down at how many videos I do. I am juggling so I need a lighter load and I will just make less but longer. This way I will be able to invest time in training etc.

Then on the 23rd we will start trying to get them to eat food and drink water. The goal is by the 27th they will be without moms at night and upstairs at night. We need to rearrange the room upstairs as the xpen needs to be larger and set up differently but this is the goal. We may meet, exceed or we need to be patient till they are ready. But... I have a plan.

Yes, we have a size difference but it will be less by then.

When we have the 6 week visit June 4th at 2 different times (Nathan will email all of you), we will take out Roxie and Jeannie pups (9) out first and then we will take out Spice pups for the next portion with each morning and afternoon visit. So everyone will see all the pups. We will have a late morning and an afternoon visit. You will see all pups but not all together as its not smart to do something too busy as your experience will be different with a smaller number.

Nathan will be in touch with you on times etc. We can't set up separate dates as it is impossible. If you miss the 6 week visit be sure to make the 8 week visit. It will be at the exact same time 2 weeks later (june 18). We always have people that have plans or its not convenient but with this many pups, it's not fair to us or shall I say me to have to have many days vs. 1. I need to invest my time in training and assessing them. If I have a number of days tied up with those who can't come, it takes away from what I can do with the pups and it also takes away any down time I may have such as jumping in a pool etc. So please, if you can't come you will have to rearrange your schedule to come on the 8 week visit. Please understand. I do understand schedules you can't get out of but its like a family reunion. If you try to get all your family together you may never have an event if you need everyone there. With each exception we make there are repercussions or something that doesn't get done due to it.

We have plans to get pups in the pool etc. I still want to do everything we normally do. Help me to do that so your pup turns out to be all they are meant to be. This is important to me and it should be important to you.

16 Days Old: Videos Added

Here is today's gallery. Soon it will be their turn to get out of the whelping box. After all 3 are out, we will try them together after they adjusted to their own place. We shall see how it goes. First step is out of their whelping box.

This is the youngest crew but I find they are in line with Spice's crew. They are just not climbing out of their box like the Spice crew has and did.

As you look at the videos you realize they do go through stages. As they get older the activity increases and the sleep is less but still at 6 weeks, they are sleeping a significant time but playing longer and more physical. They do get older. Even when they come to you, they need their naps.

15 Days

Here is the gallery.

The pups get frantic when mom is around. The milk bar is here. Oh they love her snuggles but oh boy food is here. I can't believe the youngest are now over 2 weeks old. Two more weeks and they will start trying food. Oh boy. We are now weighing once a day vs. twice a day vs. at the beginning of 4 times a day.

Two Weeks Old

Are they 2 weeks, Mommy? Look, they are all mine. You can see how Rox idolizes them. But I have managed to get her outside and that's good as it gives her cool relief. We are having issues uploading so 1 video today and we will play catch-up tomorrow.

The blogs with 4 I am updating is a lot of work.
