New Faces and Fun

Mommy is busy getting the dogs washed before visitors come for the holiday. Cosmo and Shaggy came last night and Leti scared one of them - not on purpose but she came running out saying hey hello and one of them said WHAT IS THAT. But within 10 minutes they were tolerating the Leti and now they are playing with her. Puppy magic, I say.

Here are a few photos taken today.

Miss Fiona had her bath and I thinned her out taken out half her coat. You may be thinking why in the winter but if I don't she gets a Massively huge coat. Nathan said he couldn't tell that I thinned her out. Tomorrow I will do the same to Truffie.

It was another snowy fun day. Now we are going to take to the couches and watch Xfactor or whatever tonight. It'a moments like this I treasure as I get to spend time with Nathan and get draped by the dogs!

Snowy Times

I have to say the dogs truly love the snow. I am feverishly trying to get my dogs bathed and done before Thursday. Risa had a bath - so did Abigail. There is no secret that I like clean dogs but I have a couple that you wash and they put their face in every obstacle to make sure they look like you never touched them but at least I know they were bathed. When bathing for someone else I tend to do it just before arrival or I am constantly touching up as I want them to look good. Some dogs don't cooperate. You know who you are. hahahaha

We had an amazing romp in the snow first thing and many more throughout the day. Here is just a sliver of them. I am trying hard not to wash Shoshi tonight vs. tomorrow but we shall see if I can hold off till tomorrow. Shoshi for an older lady is so delightful. Some say to me I look at the photos and they don't play like that at home. All I can say is attending a party can be fun but there is no place like home where you can get some rest after all this fun.

Here Leti is eating Risa's hair. Risa has this look - trying to contain her need to correct and she did. I am proud of you, Risa but sometimes Leti needs to know she can't eat your top knot, your tail and everything inbetween. She tries to eat MY hair too!

Quiet Day

It's a quiet day today.

Mr. Ringo goes home today. He has had a blast!

Brewer and Cali still are bonded as if they are littermates.

Logan and Truffie have been playing up a storm.

Everyone is taking a nap after a huge play session. Just not up to a ton of photos today. I think I am still playing recovery from a jam packed weekend.

We are still having fun. It's just quieter.

Wow Snow Fun

There is no other way to put it but the dogs had a total blast. It didn't matter who it was. They all participated. No one wore jackets as they would be targets here - used as a strategic way to win. Here is the gallery from today.

It was a no win day at the show but boy we had fun at home.

Everyone departs tonight except Ringo who leaves tomorrow. I will guarantee they will sleep well tonight - me too!

A Few Words

We have had a busy day. Brewer had a bath. Isn't his hair getting long again? With him coming all the time I am maintaining it so its getting silky long. It will be interesting to see what he looks like by spring.

Jeannie got 2 more points today so she is short of her championship with 1 point. Nathan refuses to go into another show this year so if she doesn't win in the next 2 days we will show her next year. Adele won in her class. Muntuno beat Cali and they have 2 more days of it - go Muntuno - go. I just now finished washing 3 dogs for the show early tomorrow.

This is a piece of our day. Dennis and I really had fun. I am rather tired but after doing poor Jeannie this morning then doing her again tonight along with Adele and Cali plus Brewster.. and ran around like my head was cut off playing with them outside as Nathan wasn't here to do some of that with me - well can O have a hot bath and crawl into bed now? More blogs to do, pups to weigh and we have an early day tomorrow with the Darcy gal coming, Mabel and Scruffy and Pepper. It's going to be such a fun day indeed! I can't wait!

Brr Cold Feet and All

The dogs were really cold this morning especially Miss Cali and Miss Leti. They simply do not have the body fat to generate enough warmth and those feet - ouch lifting but Cali has no brains. She lifts her feet and doesn't want to come in. Miss Let comes running in.

Here are a few photos from today. These are early morning photos so no photos of Ringo yet who arrived this afternoon. He is having a blast!

I found the snake that still has some squeaker life in it and they were back having fun with it. It's important to rotate your toys - well THEIR toys so there is renewed excitement and they had it for Mr. snake again. The fun was had with tugging it this way or that and squeaking it to death.

Inside play is more comfortable but we still manage to go out just for shorter spurts.

Tonight a few get baths for the show plus Muntuno. It is going to be a busy weekend but a fun one for me as I am with the dogs. hehehehe But I will miss the show too. I just may find things I need for teh dogs so better that I don't go.

Oh yeah and I get to pack everything for the shows too and who gets blamed when something is missing? hahahaha

Way Too Busy

Have had too much top do today so blogs across the board will be short. Had a visit from Alex and Yvonne and Daisy going home with a bath so no photos today other than Abigail pups and a couple we clicked. Sometimes that happens.

This was the afternoon nap for anyone who doesn't believe that this is a daily thing with the dogs of course. They don't sleep all that much but he does. hahahaha

The Miss Daisy was just washed in this photo though a real chore to keep her from making a mess of herself. She is just a dog that likes to muck it up. Daisy's hair I line comb section by section as it is thick and I need to make sure I get it all.

I am finding this dehydrated chicken that Lynda gave me - well she gave me the paper thin wafer thin raw stuff is like crack to the dogs. As this is so thin you can even break it up in pieces and give it to them as toppings. Someone told me to try dehydrated beef hot dogs. I will try it the next time Nathan picks some up at the store. Next try may be sweet potato. We shall see how that goes. Yvonne gave me this recipe with potato flour, tuna in oil and eggs and said the dogs think that is crack too. Got to get some potato flour first and of course the tuna as our tuna is always in water and she said that doesn't work. I will let you know how that works when I get the ingredients.

I have had a particularly bad day. I was giving treats to the dogs and my nexus 7 - a 250.00 piece of merchandise I use daily fell and the screen cracked to the point that to use it I would slice my hand and it has a lot of dead spots so I am not a happy camper. To add insult to injury Dennis started telling me off for not putting it down before giving treats to the dogs. Got to love it.

Highlight of my day was the dogs and seeing Alex and Yvonne! The rest I could do without.

Fun Packed Day

WE put the Miss Daisy up here as she gets a bath and departs tomorrow. We will miss her especially her spunk. As you will see in this gallery, she was mounting Miss Roxie for all she was worth. Nathan said you can't put up THAT. I said dear it's not sexual. It's just Daisy doing the mating dance and saying I am boss. I have to laugh. Miss Roxie only let her do it for so long and then said no, I think I have had enough.

On Thursday we get to see Muntuno for his bath before the show and we get to see Ringo. How fun is that?

Today we had a jam packed day of running and fun. It was certainly cold out there but brrr we warmed up. heh

Oh Boy White Stuff and Heat

Today we woke up to snow on the ground and the dogs had great fun. Panda, Brewer and Logan arrived for grand white fun and grooming and play and play and yes Panda is now in heat too. If Roxie is prime late and Panda early they could still have pups about the same time. If not it could be a week or so apart. We will see how it all unfolds. Roxie has not had her first connection yet.

Show Update & More

Exhausted from 3 days of ShowsAdele got best puppy today. Cali got 1st as she has all weekend behind Muntuno. He won his class. Cali came in right after him. He also won group and will go for best baby puppy in show late today. They went home and will go back. Nathan will be coming home as he is not showing for 5 hours again. Jeannie lost.

See what I said about getting up at 4am? Murphy's law. But Adele did get puppy. Muntuno did win and Nathan is on his way home. Then they get to do it again next weekend. Me, I am off to brush dogs. Daisy has leaves in her and so does Risa from their romp in the garden this morning. Brr is it cold. Maybe photos today and I get to work on the class photos. Here is hoping!

Dusty is washed and awaiting her Daddy to pick her up and Lynda is visiting around noon.

Update: Way too tired to do photos. My energy must be in the dogs. I am plain tired. I will tell you if it wasn't for Lynda we would not even have lunch. She was amazing coming by and bringing bagels, cream cheese and Shawarma. I have to say a 11pm to bed and up at 4am is not enough. Dogs did get their sleep.

No connection for Roxie but Kat is getting exhausted. Maybe tomorrow.

All dogs did get brushed and combed out. I have my priorities.

Not Impressed Plus Show Update: 2 Updates Today

I am Miss Roxie and this is my 3rd heat and I am not impressed but girls rule!

Mommy says she needs Kat tuckered out as he is so focused on me so I just jump all over. He can't catch me and I mount him. He gets plenty tired. That makes Mommy happy as he has no energy to whine.

Daddy says I will probably have a mating by tomorrow but we shall see. For right now I am in Mommy's office or running with the gals until Daddy gets home and I tucker him out more.

Show update. Muntuno beat Cali. He is quite the adorable thing. He is now being shown by Val this afternoon for 'best baby puppy in show' and coming home here for a bath. We co-own Muntuno. So, Lucia will show him tomorrow freshly bathed.

Jeannie lost today. Adele, even though Nathan had to do all sorts of silly things did walk (Nathan said he used to have pride) and she won Winners Bitch and Best Puppy. He did hear from a ringside judge that when she walks she is a very nice dog and he should go places with her. We knew that but - condition, condition, condition. :-0

Tomorrow is a new day and I get to wash all the dogs (4 tonight) as we get up at 4am so Nathan can do it again. Shoot me now - will you?

Tomorrow Lynda drops in and we are looking forward to that and Dusty departs. It will be a quiet week with only the Daisy snuggling with me in bed. After dinner I may take a nap with the dogs. I have a long night with bathing it seems and I know Nathan will be tired. hehe

Holiday Moments

Each year we have a tradition of scanning any cards we receive and placing them up - well when they have dogs in them. Today's card is Coco and Doozie. Thank you Carol for coming to the show and giving Nathan the card. He almost forgot to tell me as I think he was fried.

Lucia was more fried as she stayed till the end as Muntuno won group as well.

I bathed the dogs for the show (they get to be bathed again before bed as they get up at 4am). Looking forward to Sunday and Lynda's visit to show off the pups and enjoy her company and then Sunday night crawling into bed. ROFL

I have already been out with the dogs 3 times playing but no photos today. I may get to them but I need to get to the class ones. :-)

Sorry About That!

We are not going to get to the total Recall photos today - perhaps tomorrow. The lighting was so bad that I have to tweak the lighting on all. Its those lovely lights they have in there.

But here are a few photos from today. Logan and Panda had their bath. They were not crazy about the small table. My large one is at the show but its done for another 2 weeks. :-)

Mommy, don't you ever groom me? Well she did managed to get brushed today but 2 seconds later she looked almost as bad as this. It's so Spice!

Roxie is still in heat. She is now dancing with Kat but no connection. She's just wearing him down. I don't expect one till Sunday but I will tell you now that he knows he is getting the girl he is in a better mood. Now Truffie is not. Oh well, can't please everyone.

Nothing from Panda yet. I still hope it will be any day.

By the way Daisy gives the best face baths especially when you want to watch TV. hahahahaha

Show Update

Adele refused to move - never having a handling class and maybe being in a fear stage - this is her class I suppose and she will get conditioned. <smile> Not worried about it. She is a structurally sound dog.

Jeannie beat specials with Val showing her. She is now 3 points away from her championship. Val thinks I made her hair too greasy so she is going to keep her and wash her herself. That's one less dog to wash. Plus the socialization will be good for Jeannie.

Cali walked well in the ring but I knew going into it Muntuno if he behaved would win and that he did. Congrats to Muntuno and his mom who never showed a dog in her life. Wow!

There are a lot of Havanese at this show. Thanks goes to Carol, Helen and Suzie who came out to cheer us on.

So all in all it was a great day for Talemaker even with Adele holding out all stops. hahahaha

We do it again tomorrow but today I get to wash Cali and Adele again.

Today is a New Day

Last night Adele was in class with a number of Talemaker dogs. Let's see we had Tuffie, Bailey, Molly and Pepper. Plus we had a number of other dogs. I will try to place up some photos later today but I won't till Nathan is back. The photos are poor quality due to lighting and me paying more attention to dogs vs camera work but hey I have my priorities.

I figured this was a perfect photo of Adele with forked tongue and red eyes. hahahaha Is it Halloween yet?

We had to wake up at 5am so Nathan could depart. Tomorrow is a later wake up and Sunday is a 4am wakeup.

We had ground lean sirloin mixed in with the food today. I am not sure anyone even lifted their heads for a second. Amazing how that works at times.

Daisy said - I want MORE. Even Abigail ate with gusto.

We have been out twice thus far. It is warm(er) so we will be doing walks and having our usual fun.

I may take a nap this afternoon with the dogs. Dennis can sit in with the pups who are doing really well. Then Nathan will come home early afternoon and tell me how tired he is. :-)

Now who washed the dogs and got all the stuff ready to go? I hear tell Carol is visiting Nathan at the show and Helen and Suzie. Now that sounds fun! Plus Val is there to help him show and groom and well he can socialize. I best get a nap in as hes going to be tired. hahahahaha It's hell getting old.

Busy Day

As Nathan has a show tomorrow I am only placing up a couple of photos as we also have a total recall class.

Miss Daisy gal tries to bat Leti around like she is a cat. She lives with cats so maybe she thinks Leti is a cat too? hahaha Leti doesn't pay her any mind. She just says oh another one to irritate - how fun. Daisy is learning that if she goes and lays down after play Leti leaves her alone.

Don't get me wrong. Daisy is having the time of her life. It's just funny to see the interaction between the 2.

This is Dusty and Cali. As you can see Cali was rather grungy after play. She is not allowed to go outside tonight. It's called use the pad as Mom is not going to wash you again - the person who lets you out will. Yeah... we will see how that works.

Good thing about having to wake up at the crack of dawn 530am - gad help me is Nathan gets back early.

It's a quiet day tomorrow so maybe we will take a nap before he gets back.

Tonight we have Total Recall with Roxie and I know we are seeing Molly there. Wonder who else we will see. Naybe I will get a chance to get a few photos when I am not helping. Let's hope.

Trigger, Keeper and Chewie News

Hi Darlah and Nathan,

Darlah, I mentioned the boys had been sleeping closer since coming back - that actually means Levon is using Trigger as a pillow. lol. I guess little brothers aren't so bad after all. ;)

My heart just about melted as I watched Keeper and Lu race and chase in the back yard.  It was exactly a dream come true of a perfect homecoming! 

We'll see how the night progresses. Just couldn't resist sending this video along!  Keeper goes from bed to bed in true goldilocks style trying out all of Lucy's toys and Lucy hasn't put down the Cookie Monster!

So so happy!

Keeper Departs & More

The Keeper has departed. We are going to miss this one! We hope to see him from time to time. He settled in so easily. Here you can see him with Stephanie (human mom) and human daughter Chloe) and havie sister Lucy. We want to hear how it goes - don't forget!

We also had a busy day. Molly dropped in for play and a bath. Daisy dropped in for a stay and you will see photos of her tomorrow. By the time she dropped in we didn't click any photos. But she has been her usual play monkey self. Pepper and Scuffy have been playing their hearts out. It's been such a fun day!

Trying to Stay Dry

We had a lot of play indoors - some outside but I am not a glutton for punishment. After I got the Coops cleaned up and brushed out I didn't let him fly around the back yard. That's okay as I timed it so he still had his fun before brush out.

I had everyone brushed out by noon. But as you can see I am later than usual with the updates.

Mr. Coops has departed. Keeper is Not departing as his new humans missed a plane. So, he will be departing tomorrow and will need further cleanup again. I need the practice, don't you know. (smile)

Got a lovely tip and flowers from Russell and Anne - deepest appreciation. Coops is always a pleasure to have here and he doesn't even clue into the heats - nice!

I have more but I am cutting it short today. I am going to Lime it with a tad splash of gin after Brewer departs and maybe watch some TV with Nathan. The son never made it skiing. He has yet to wake up yet so I gather the ski conditions were poor. Such is his life. Dennis on the other hand is up and helping.

Panda is not in heat but we are already playing boys out, girls with Roxie out separate sort of thing. Watch, Panda and Jeannie will come into heat in 3 weeks just because Roxie will be over. Nothing like 6 or 9 weeks of heat. hehe
