Bailey will be joining us while his mom goes shopping in the states. Such fun! I am not sure who will have more fun - I think we will. :-)

Keeper met his new housemate, Lucy today. They (his new family) are off on holidays tomorrow and the Keeper will be joining them for his forever journey when they return. They really had a blast.

So you will see more of Keeper here till the 1st week of December.

Tomorrow Marlee and Jazmyn depart - Mabel and Cha Cha too. Its going to get quiet around here! We will miss them!

Was Down for Count

I had a rip roaring case of heartburn and acid indigestion. So after washing Dusty I headed to bed. I just now got up a few hours later. I feel better but still not 100%. I took Tums, gaviscon and zantac 75. We have class in 45 minutes. So, we shall see. I was really pleased about seeing Laci but with not feeling well I still managed to maximize my time. One has to have their priorities. I got half the dogs brushed. Yes, only half. Tomorrow is another day.

Here are a few photos from today.

Don't have pictures of all. That's an issue with me being sick. I invest the time into the dogs not clipping. Thank gad for naps today!

Didn't practice with Cali or Adele today - oh well to class and success.

Short Update Today

Not doing much of an update today as Lynda is taking me out for Japanese food - yum. We don't eat out around this place so this is a real treat. As I am on a diet it also means no lunch so I can eat. ROFL So, I must keep way busy. I have grooming to do, I suppose.

Here is a Scruffy and Pepper video. They got their new house.

Both names on theirs - how nice!

They are here playing up a storm. Keeper thinks Pepper shoots the moon. How funny!

Just a Fun Day

I may have been washing and grooming up a storm but I still managed to click a few. Didn't get everyone but it still gives you a flavour of our day. We had fun. Just heard windy times coming tomorrow so batten down the hatches.

Just another Fall day - yawn!Who says I have to stay groomed, not I!When old you can do whatever you want!Shh let's eat that bug...yuck says mom!Panda says the human blogger is out of steam. She's had a nonstop day and so have we. All got brushed. All were played with and baths were had by a few. Now it is time for the Zoe to go home after her bath and we will settle down for a TV watch with Marlee on Nathan's lap and Jazmyn wrapped around his neck. heh Cali will bark and say what about me. It's such a fun game to watch. Half the time I forget the tv is on.

Small Update

Coco and Doozie dropped in for a bath and play session. They had a ton of fun. Their Mom is coming back from Florida. They love watching soccer with their human dad but they will be excited to see their mom. Bonus with mom going away we got to see them twice. Lucky us!

We had a wet day with more indoor play than outdoor play. I only have a few photos taken today. I took a day off grooming other than Coco and Doozie and brushing out Logan and Panda and trimming their feet. Tomorrow I will return to doing all.

I promise to do better tomorrow when Zoe comes to visit (Zoe is Dusty's sister).

Today I am ever so tired as I start my exercising daily again.

Wet and Muddy Day AGAIN!!! New Photos Added

Harper and DJ, Adele's siblings are here. I just added new photos to the gallery and you can check out Spice's blog to see Cali playing with Harper. She's smitten with him.

We started our day out with a romp around the back. The crew got soaked. Yep, I have work to do cleaning up. Why bother? If I don't then knots arrive and I prefer to avoid that so a rinse (days like this shampoo too) and a brush and dry off is in the cards so they can do it again OF COURSE!

Check out some of the photos.

Looking forward to DJ and Harper visiting. Brewer arrived as a ball of enthusiasm. Keeper is now totally relaxed and playing up a storm with all. Oh the day has just begun.

Filled Day

The blog went down - well the entire site - sorry about that. It's the service we are hosted on. I guess it happens but wow it was as if we just went poof...

We have had a very busy day. I started washing at 730am after breakfast. I had several dogs to do and 1 comb out. Then we had Steven and My visit - thanks truly for staying and tolerating our dog talk. Did we take photos - no but neither did Steven or My. :-(

Then I had 3 more combouts. Plus I made it through half of mine not all. I do visitors first. I play catchup tomorrow.

We are blessed to have just had the Tucker, Holly and Missy drop in. It's been too long for all three. It was a pure pleasure to have the Brewster here and to have Raylan, Monty and Mac. They are a delight.

Nathan asked me to give him time to go through our list but I talked him into allowing me to post about this fun puppy we have here. He visited us when Paula, Tracy and Nathan went to the national.

We have the Keeper here - a Phantom pup and Jinx out west. He was going to be a show dog but Tracy and Paula has decided to place him. This is a multiple baby puppy winner. He's almost 6 months I think. I am waiting for the paperwork that should arrive Monday. He is such a wonderful boy. Older pups usually don't become available either.

Here are some photos from today.

Keeper (front) Brewer (rear)The KeeperIt was a VERY busy day and Sunday is another with lots of baths but it was also a LOT of fun! Thanks, Steven and My. We needed the distraction!

Not Many Photos

I was busy doing baths for others today so I didn't get to click. Nathan did. He didn't take much. He said he was too busy playing.

We have Keeper here and he has been busy playing with everyone. We have Cooper here and he is playing with everyone including Keeper. Max, Monty and Raylan are also here draped on Nathan watching tv. They too were playing. Was just about to take a few dogs out to play but it started hailing. What's that about?

I promise to click tomorrow but got baths to do so we shall see. Then after baths we get to visit with Steven and My. It's been way too long. We also got a puppy bed - one I have been looking and looking for from them. Thank you in a BIG way. The future pups thank you too. Can't wait to take photos of them in it. We have been looking for a long time for one too!

I think I am tired - no I am tired. hahahaha

Starting the Day Funny

Well, Coco and Doozie came 15 minutes early so my hair was every which way at 7am. At least I had clothes on vs. pjs. Coco and Doozie came rushing in waggy tails so excited. Hours later I looked at myself in the mirror and laughed hard. I looked like a train wreck. I am a wrestless sleeper. The dogs have adjusted to my sleep but my hair, well it looks interesting first thing. Most people would stop and brush the hair out. Mine just got brushed.

The Coco and Doozie are only here till the afternoon. Nathan is out running with the dogs and I am typing. Next run is mine. :-)

Now the dogs are starting to say can I come in? I am feeling rain you know! But Nathan believes in fresh air - cold, hot, raining, snowing.

The dogs love it too!

What a Week

Cathy's daughter Leigh was caught running and it was delightful to watch. We had puppy visits. Check out Spice's blog. We have exciting times coming. Marlee and Jazmyn and Logan and Panda are here overnight. Later this week we get to see Raylan, Monty and Mac and the Coops. We also see Coco and Doozie for a few hours tomorrow. When Bailey arrives it will be him and Harper - oh how fun.

Pinch me... I think I am having fun. Grooming who cares!

Very Quiet

Friends have gone home, clocks have changed so we are majorly chillin'. It's such a tough life!

Jazmyn is chillin taking in the fresh air and Marlee is investigating. It truly is a quiet day. That's okay we get visitors - puppies tomorrow!

Busy Day

This will be short as I have Pepper and Scruffy to brush out and Max and Missy are going first thing tomorrow so they are getting baths tonight. So... I will try to get more photos up tonight but can't promise. It will depend on how long it takes to do each. :-)

If I finish early enough you will see photos. If not, I will play catch-up tomorrow.

The dogs had a really fun and crazy play day. They are a mess even though all were combed out. It's one of those days when you say really - you really brushed them... yeah right.

I am still looking for blankets baby and otherwise and baby lamaze toys especially the ones that clip on things so I can clip them to the xpen for sensory. I have been to our local baby consignment shop for the last 3 months and not a single blanket or lamaze toy. Strange but if you have a lead on any, let me know as my time is limited and I don't have the ability to shop just to shop. :-( I used to.

Just finished bathing - wow am I tired. Here are a few more photos taken today. I hope you enjoy them!

As usual, we always manage to have fun even when we are grooming up a storm. The dogs make my life worth living!

Another Wet Day

We are grooming, drying and chilling watching tv. Everyone is so comfortable it is so delightful.

Pepper & Scruffy WrestlingYou can't see it but a soaked Pepper and Scruffy are playing up a storm. We put dryers in this room and we are drying and brushing one by one. Can the rain stop, please?

Miss Roxie found a treat hidden in a bed and decided to guard it vs. eat it. Not allowed. We don't put it in front of us on display to say look what I have and you don't. As there wasn't a treat for everyone it went away. That's how it works here. Treats for grooming and gnawing treats for all but not just for one. Instead they all got a chicken strip later that we dehydrated. Still working on perfecting the dehydrating process.

Now back to drying and watching the crazy fun play. Something about the energy level increasing when they are wet. It's so much fun to see.

The Coops comes tomorrow - so excited. Scruffy and Pepper depart and lets hope for no rain. I am not sure this arm can handle it but I must. We will survive this rain. Can we have snow instead - no I didn't say that!

Muddy and Fun

The dogs have become dirty over and over again today. It's been quite the day for the fun and the laundry tub. They say dry on Sunday? hehe

Just know we are having fun. I am too but then again I am exhausted in a huge way from all this washing and brushing.

PS: I tried to cheat after washing Brewer 3 times up his legs and under his carriage so I said I will just spray him with waterless shampoo and brush him out. Yeah right. He had caked in mud so bad only a soaking and shampoo would do. So, I said this is bath 4. DO NOT LET HIM OUT. He's going home soon. hahahaha

Check out some of the photos from today.

Bailey's Cat Moment

Click on Photo for Larger View

Not all havanese appreciate getting dressed up. Roxie tried to bite her costume off. But Bailey got his snip, snip yesterday and the assistant seemed to have split his skin when she shaved him. I know accidents happen but it sort of adds insult to injury in my opinion. But I am sure he will be better and each day he will feel more like himself.

Bravo for doing the costume thing. Roxie doesn't have a reason but boy she wasn't happy either. For her it was a bucking bronco, bite this costume off of me.

You are a beauty and good healing vibes going your way. You have the best human Mommy and I am sure she is spoiling you silly. Work that guilt. It will only work for so long. (hahahaha)

Halloweenie Time: Tips Too

Click on Photo for Larger View

We are adding Halloween photos received to the blog today. Hope you enjoy. Last night we had Cooper and Griffin. Today all the posts will go in this entry. Look below to see Coopers and Griffins as well. They are worth the look.

Tips for Halloween

-No tricks, no treats: That bowl of candy is for trick-or-treaters, not for your havanese. Chocolate in all forms especially dark or baking chocolate can be very dangerous. Candies containing the artificial sweetener xylitol can also cause problems. If you do suspect your havanese has ingested something toxic, please call your veterinarian or vet emerg. You can also call us if confused if this is an emergency.

-Popular Halloween plants such as pumpkins and decorative corn are considered to be relatively nontoxic, but they can produce stomach upset in your havanese who nibble on them. We have solutions for tummy upsets. Please send mail or call if this happens to you.

-A carved pumpkin certainly is festive, but do exercise caution if you choose to add a candle. Your Havanese can easily knock a lit pumpkin over and cause a fire.

-Not all havanese appreciate costumes but some love them. Be sure costumes allow eye sight and it is not restrictive in an uncomfortable way.

-Trick or Treaters costumes may frighten your havanese. You may want to put your havanese away in another part of the house.

-When opening your door be aware that your havanese may dart out as they are frightened. Restrict access to the door as a safety precaution, please. It may mean life or death. Do not take this lightly.
