Rain and Must See Video

This is Rebel after she came iin from the rain. Tonight she is in class all nicely brushed and was excited to go to class. Last week she didn't know where she was going.

The dogs sat with me under the gazebo and I took a puppy or 2 out to do some conditioning to loud noise and it was very loud. Iff and on it rained.

Today we got a video from Nami's sister's home - a Stormy pup and to me it is a must see video!

Sunshine Heat Rain

Sorry short blog. Close lightening. Pouring rain then steamy heat and the dogs were inside safe.

That's all I can say as I am going outside to enjoy the craziness. Wil the dogs come? We shall see!

Chillin'

Nathan sits in this gravity chair the most as he says that it helps his back but I secretly think it is due to all the attention he gets. As we have a popup tent in this spot, the dogs get to sit in the shade too and they love it!

Dennis is now out with the pups and some dogs and Nathan is with the rest other than the 2 moms. Me, I will soon be grooming.

It was a fun day for all. Still have to put the stuff bac where we made room for everyone but we will get there an besides the dogs like this new setup. LOL

Oh to Be a Dog

I think the dogs have quite the life. Play, eat, laze around and just enjoy life. I need to be a dog in my house. LOL

Here is a small gallery. Dennis didn't get everyone as it was a hectic day. Tomorrow will be the same. Dennis played a hide and seek game with fun rewards - duck treats for all no matter how they did. He is an equal opportunity guy. He just gives the winners theirs first.

It's 920 and I need to start doing dishes. Tomorrow I have to do a full groom on a dog before the visit and between the visits and after the visits. Oh boy...

Pool Watching

Murphy was watching me in the pool. Today, Sherry came by and brought phillie cheese steak and poutine - plus ice cream yum. The idea was to swim but she never got around to it due to work but we so enjoyed ourselves. Maybe when she picks up Murphy she can swim. I won't give her wilted flowers again. LOL That's an inside jike - but oh I tried.

Tomorrow will be a busy day as we have puppy baths and photo ops. LOL I also have a few adults and Harlow to bathe so this blog may be short and the others will contain individual bath photos.

Then Saturday a puppy visit. Sunday - rest? Nah got Daisy departing and then I will hit the pool weather allowing!

Too Hot and Muggy

Even I decided it was time to come indoors with this heat. It's not just the heat but the mugginess.

Daisy was over visiting and had a great time!

Dogs go in and out of heat but we are always mindful that it may get too hot.

Visits Are Wonderful

This is Phoenix with Raven. You can find him in the videos of the pups and in this gallery. You will also find him in the puppy gallery and videos as he played with the younger set.

Raven so enjoyed him and he enjoyed everyone. What a wonderful being.

It is muggy as ever outside. It has sprinkled off and on. I need to cut paths so people can walk down them on Saturday when we have the 6 week visit.

they say the air quality is not great today so we did a lot of short visits outside and lots of playing indoors.

Rusty and Luna are with us for the day. Daisy till Sunday and harlow is patrying hearty!  They are so enjoying. It is great to start getting visitors. It has been a very long time.

I heard all restaurants downtown have their patio tables booked and campgrounds - well dog people are already booked. People are excited about more freedom this weekend and we are thankful the pups can see humans.

Too Hot to Handle

Think this heat is getting too much for the dogs. It's a no gallery day as mostly they said enough! I want air plus Dennis simply didn't click.

Ford made an announcement about this weekend. Nathan has Rebel in her 1st class - thank you Covid.

My body is having a revolting experience due to pollen. For the last week we have had yellow pollen all over our furniture and most everything. How do I know its the pollen that I am reacting to? I started cleaning it upclose and I am sneezing non stop, my throat is itchy so I took a hose and washed it off things from afar. I would love to know where it is coming from but if it is bothering me it has to be bothering the dogs.

This is a tomato plant that Dorothy gave me and it has gone wild. Tomatoes already growing. Thank you, truly!

These are my strawberries that survived the winter outdoors. That's a plastic pot and to dress it up, I put a vinyl saying on it. I took them all out of the pots I had hanging and placed it in 2 pots and they are thriving. Then I planted beans in the hanging pot. One thing I noticed was my chives have disappeared. Strange as they always come back.

We have a rather large rabbit that seems to be stupid or unafraid, It walks past me while I am weeding without a concern. I have convinced myself that my unruly garden needs to be so things like rabbits have homes. LOL That's my excuse and I am sticking to it. Only Halle seems to chase it. The others just look.

Nathan had to pick up a part that we needed to repair a sink and he said NO ONE was in the garden center. hmmmm

Looks like rain is coming the next 2 days. That's okay. Phoenix is coming and I get time with him. Can't get better than that!

The Heat is On

This is the look that Tchibo gave me when I said time to go out in that heat. He is a riot.

It's actually too hot for pups so other than 1st thing this morning they were inside playing. As I type they want to play yet again. I have a class project to complete after blogs so it will be Dennis turn.

Dogs had fun despite the heat and the heat is still on. Tchibo has departed. Lexi and Benji is going later tonight. Yes there is another Benji. We haven't seen Benji - well this one since covid began. We so miss the dogs. It's not about how our boarding tanked - there is that but the ones we have not seen. It's such a crime. Looking forward to normalcy soon and hey when we have it - go away and bring your dogs here. LOL We so miss all of you. There isn't a day that goes by that someone comes to mind and we go I wonder how so and so is.

To thinder showers tomorrow. Will they come? My veggies demand that it comes. My weeds want the water too. LOL

Hi Darlah and Nathan!

Emmy is 3 years old today!  Cannot believe how time flies. While we wish pandemic life to soon be over and we return to some sense of how life used to be, we think Emmy is loving the work from home deal!  She is probably over attached...(though this may be mutual!)..and we will have to stage a transitioning soon. 

We adore her so much and are so grateful to have found you as breeders!  She simply has the sweetest personality....so attentive, gentle and goofy!  We wish Emmy's litter mates a happy birthday today and the Talemaker family a wonderful summer ahead!

High on Grass

Yes, I was trying for humour but one has to laugh at our grass. I told Nathan it was good exercise for him and he can pace himself and I have enough on my plate. Will it get done or not? Soon we will not even see the heads of the dogs.

Nathan was out with the dogs and 2 birds came flying into the pool. Nathan takes photos of the birds but not of Harlow chasing the birds away. What was he thinking?

Lots of grooming today. But fun is had. At the moment inder a heat alert, the dogs are enjoying the air more. Can you blame them?

Long Day in Paradise

As you can see the weeds are growing. Have to laugh. I get one area done and look around and its all so overwhelming but we will get there.

I will tell you that at my local Loblaws store there is everything from herbs to lettuces, to peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers - all veggies for $1 a piece and larger for $3. They even have strawberries and NICE ones but I have mine. I almost wanted to buy more as we eat strawberries like crazy but I resisted and it took a lot out of me. HAHA They are all in good shape. I got lettuce as I did not have any and got 3 types. I was shocked they are already clearing out but they said no one has come since the May 24 weekend. Huh. There was about 4 other people whn I was there.

Some of my plants I brought indoors did not survive but I still have them dead looking in pots remaining hopeful. Hope is a good thing.

The dogs love the plants. As they tend to use them for walking paths not as things to admire - well- That's okay.

We have a full house here today. It's been a LONG time. Business has been exceedingly slow as no one is going anywhere but let's hope as things get less restrictive. We genuinely miss the dogs and worry that dogs are not interacting with others during covid. A few come and get their play in and good for them. It gives them a great time and they get more well rounded.

Nava that departed earlier was highly fascinated with the puppies. It was a no swimming day and it should have been a planting of lettice day buy was it? Too late today. I know you slacker but I say shall I or shall I rest? Wonder which one will win.

Hot and 1st Burn

Having a tough time uploading a photo but will keep trying.

It was a hot day. Nathan needs to cut the grass as its getting high. I weeded the path in my middle bed. Dennis said why when you have weeds everywhere else. I said one step at a time.

Rocky is smittened by Tempie. He departs tomorrow and they will miss each other.

Nathan had a good birthday and the dogs enjoyed seeing River and Adele. It has been over a year since we seen them. We did the social distance thing. They went to swim. They brought Swiss Chalet and an ice cream cake. We won't see them for Father's day as Tracy's bday is the same day as Father's day this year. So, we were told this was it. They looked at the pool house and went when did you do that? I said a year ago. Time goes by too quickly.

The dogs so had fun with my weeds, throwing them here and there till I got a bag. If I didn't have to gather it twice more I would have laughed. But they had fun so I did too. Harlow instead of playing with it laid on it and Rocky slid into it. It was too hot to weed and even the dogs said indoors today. 

Early Blog Today

This one decided to chase Hallie around the edge of the pool and in she went. She had to get blow dried and here she is a mess again! We are always out there with them so it is not a big thing and the water is warm. She looked like she enjoyed it and did it on purpose.

As it is Nathan's birthday today, we are spending most of the waking hours outdoors.

Ronnie came by with smoked meat - yum and we chatted a bit. It was so nice to do so! Thank you, again. We treasure people like you and Sylvia who is bringing Nathan Sashimi and Sherry who is always there - Dorothy my neighbour wants to know if you are for hire. We are blessed!

We are also dog people blessed. Can't get better than that!

Slacking

What a slacker I am but I groomed and groomed and didn't click other than puppies. It was a warmish day. Good thing it wasn't hot as I would feel like I was missing something. I am sitting here hurting from grooming and yawning. It's ridiculous to yawn at this hour.

Dogs played a ridiculous game of run around the pool that I thought someone would fall in but nope no one pushed anyone out of the way. They are learning!

I have the hiccups that won't quit. I mean they won't so that's it for this blog!

We do a run around the pool daily and sometimes it is just a blur of dogs. They love, love, love it!

Down For the Count

Went for my vaccine today and I am down for the count. I guess my immune system is working as I have a massive headache, pain and warmth at site and down my arm, up my arm to my neck. I can't stay focused. Nathan just pain at site.

So, dogs are enjoying. I am not so much. I may actually crawl into bed. This will pass.

Snow Really?

It's almost June and yes, we had snow. Is this crazy or what? It was too cold and rainy that the dogs went out between but mostly they wanted to stay indoors.

We had a gas leak that they came out to fix this morning. Nothing was inside the house but oh boy you could small it badly outdoors. We thought it was our propane tank so I shut that off and now without matches he can't use teh BBQ but that is okat as teh gas guy said we still have a small leak that another guy will come out to fix within 7 days. Must be a tiny one or I would think it would be sooner. It seems he could only work on one section and the other guy works on the section that needs to be fixed.

I am just glad we are all okay. It is downright cold indoors and we can't put the heat on but thankfully the pups are of age that they can now regulate their bodies and climb into beds and blankets.

Nathan's birthday is June 1st and Sherry's is June 2nd so a huge shout out to them for surviving another covid birthday! (sigh)

Yikes Cold

It is ever so cold or feels that way. I have socks, slipers, long sleeve shirt on and a light jacket when we were out with the pups. Brr

I got caught up on grooming even though I booked today off. LOL

Dogs do not mind the cool. Maui and Ellie so wanted to play with the wee ones. Rebel wants to so play with the Ellie, Maui and Barney but she does and then they focus on the others. It's like a party that you quite don't mesh yet but you persist. Then all of a sudden Rebel is included. Good for you Rebel for trying and trying again.

Roxie was caught kissing Spirit's littlest through the bars on deck. It was cute!

PS: I am so impressed with the teeth cleaning - so impressed. We are having a date in June 25th where they are coming to our place. If anyone is in need, let me know.

Sprinkles

We never got in the pool today as it was lightly sprinkling off and on.

Tomorrow we are trying a service that cleans teeth without anesthesia on Raven as a test case to see if we want to use their services and let others know about it. We will let you know how it goes. We have to go up to Barrie  just for thsi test case otherwise they would come to our home if we have multiple dogs at a time. More about this later.

I still have 2 dogs to groom tonight. Harlow as she is departing and one of my own - Willow. I fit my own in here and there. Now that the sun came out bright and shiny - yep got to groom. Go figure.

The dogs rather enjoyed the spinkling, Not enough to irritate but enough to cool things down.
