4 Weeks Old Today

Where are You, Mom? I need milk!

Think we are going to have to try food soon. This crew is stealing milk bars from everywhere. They have bellies to feed. Glad we put them together sooner than later. They are getting along famously!

Here is a gallery of everyone together.

Blogs are short today - sorry but I have been extra busy.

27 Days

The pups will be 4 weeks old tomorrow. How did that happen? This week we will be trying food for all as the youngest hits 3 weeks today. We will also be showing them water. With warm weather coming I will be setting up the deck. May as well get them used to it all early. I have a very heavy schedule today so maybe try food after Dennis is up or wait till tomorrow. We shall see.

Getting Mighty Comfie

No more later. I am spent and still have another grooming to do.

26 Days

Pups are actively engaging in playing these days. What is interesting is they do this with the siblings but they also do this with the other 2 crew. See the gallery in Roxie's blog to see a series of photos with the sibling play. The photos are in with all the rest.

They do engage back. I had a theory that the younger I placed them together the better it will be and easier to mesh the 3 together. It is working. It will be as if it has always been by weeks end. Little by little the crew is exploring and cuddling with non siblings. No one is trying to hurt anyone or smoosh anyone.

Now this could never occur if the moms didn't get along like they do. Seriously not all do but for some reason I have always managed to have moms that do get long and not only get along but they help each other.

Jane Waring gave us a blanket for each of the moms but Dennis set up the pen today reducing the size. Yes, reducing the size. More on this in Spice's blog. So, watch tomorrow to see these blankets. They are ready for the next change out.

25 Days: Gallery and Videos Added

25 days, 3 weeks and 2 days short of 3 weeks all together. Interesting enough they are staying segregated other than 1 Roxie pup and 1 Spice pup and the 3 Jeannie pups that just want anyone's food bar.

We will see how the day goes. I am not sure if Dennis will want them separated at night but I am finding I have no issue with knowing whose pup is who and counting. :-)

Gallery of all 3 together. You will even see photos of Jeannie's pups engaged in play.

24 Days Old: Video Added

Yes, we all have photos of this pup repeatedly putting her head in this cube and falling asleep. I think she thinks its a new fangled pillow.

Pups were really interested in the new neighbours. They thought this nose to nose stuff was grand. That is good to see.

I have a heavy day of grooming today so I am trying to get some of the blogs done as I can. I hate rain.

23 Days Old

The pups are more animated than last week. They walk around. They make noises for mom. They are playing with each other. They peer through the bars as they are curious and of course they eat and feed. They are growing up.

Although its been an extreme amount of work I am ever so glad that they are close in age as it could be difficult having to do 3 separate play sessions many times a day vs. getting them together as one crew. By getting them together they are even more socialized having to deal with a large group of personalities vs. just siblings.

I am starting to see personalities in all 3 litters and I have a real feel that we are going to have a rather fun bunch.

Drop and Roll: Videos Added

We were trying to catch this puppy rolling over for Sarah. He does it all the time but I keep missing catching it on camera. <sigh> Here's him on his back but not the rolling. Jeannie drops and rolls so you can rub her tummy. Sarah says, I can tell he's Jeannie's son!

Here is  gallery taken today. All 3 pups had a walk about though Nathan's foot is really bad so it's a short walk about. They seem curious. More hesitant when placed on the deck but still okay.

2 Updates Today

Here is the 1st and only puppy that made it out today. The other 2 were sleeping and although I walked the puppy around, I needed Nathan to hold so I could also take photos. Nathan has a nasty infection in his toe so he's not willing to walk all three outdoors while I click so I will and you will just miss the photos of the other 2. I get that he can't. Hope you do too. I will be taking the other 2 out when they are awake.

How did he do? Really, really well. He was curious. No shaking and he just looked all around. He didn't even mind the adult dogs coming to say hello.

Here's a gallery.

3 Weeks Old Today: New Digs

Today's Gallery.

The pups are now out of their whelping box. They are in a smaller than usual contained area so they can adjust to the changes but it doesn't appear they need any adjustments. I already had the more dark boy head over the the puppy pad. He didn't go but he was inspecting.

Pups now are starting to get more vocal as they look around.

Almost 3 Weeks: 20 Days Old

Pups are getting curious at the surroundings outside of the pen. They do play and they are getting better at walking. If it is warm tomorrow I may start carrying them through the back yard to see how they react.

Having serious issues with uploading again. It adds a level of frustration to my day so only 1 video today. I do sp apologize.
